By Axios, Jan. 14, 2018

President Trump tweeted this morning accusing the Wall Street Journal of maliciously misreporting a statement he made in a recent interview. The tweet followed a "FAKE NEWS" alert last night from Press Secretary Sarah Sanders.

At issue: Whether Trump said "I probably have a good relationship with Kim Jong-un," or "I'd probably have a good relationship with Kim Jong-un."

The White House on Sunday called on Congress to investigate whether former President Obama abused his executive powers in connection with the 2016 campaign, but continued to offer no evidence to back up the claim.

The demand came amid a swirl of claims and counter-claims about Russian meddling in the presidential election. U.S. intelligence agencies have said such interference took place, and connections between the Trump camp and Russia are under investigation by the FBI.

Barack Obama Didn’t Wear His Wedding Ring This Weekend

By  Brent Scher, Aug 03, 2015 Freebeacon

President Barack Obama’s wedding ring was “noticeably missing” from his left hand on Sunday, according to a White House pool report.

Obama, who was at Camp David in Maryland on Sunday, arrived back at the White House and was photographed by the Associated Press without a ring on his hand. He was playing golf earlier in the day to celebrate his birthday, which comes this Tuesday.

Obama’s ring, however, was off his finger long before he stepped on the course. He was photographed on Friday signing highway funding legislation and was not wearing his ring.

Data: Nearly 5 Dozen Give A Third Of All '16 Campaign Cash

By Julie Bykowicz, Jack Gillum Aug 01, 2015 AP

WASHINGTON (AP) — It took Ted Cruz three months to raise $10 million for his campaign for president, a springtime sprint of $1,000-per-plate dinners, hundreds of handshakes and a stream of emails asking supporters to chip in a few bucks.

One check, from one donor, topped those results.

New York hedge fund magnate Robert Mercer's $11 million gift to a group backing the Texas Republican's White House bid put him atop a tiny group of millionaires and billionaires whose contributions already dwarf those made by the tens of thousands of people who have given to their favorite presidential candidate.

An Associated Press analysis of fundraising reports filed with federal regulators through Friday found that nearly 60 donations of a million dollars or more accounted for about a third of the more than $380 million brought in so far for the 2016 presidential election. Donors who gave at least $100,000 account for about half of all donations so far to candidates' presidential committees and the super PACs that support them.

Goldman Bankers Are Jeb Bush’s Top Backers for White House

By Max Abelson, July 16, 2015 Bloomberg

Important people at Goldman Sachs Group Inc. want Jeb Bush to be the next U.S. president. And they’re giving him a lot of money to make it happen.

More than 50 Goldman Sachs executives and employees gave the Republican more than $144,000 in the second quarter, with most of them sending $2,700, the maximum allowed, according to Federal Election Commission filings.

The company that was the next-best source of money for the former Florida governor, Neuberger Berman, is run by George Walker, Bush’s second cousin. Employees at the money manager gave more than $63,000. It once was part of Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc., where Bush was an adviser.

Obama OKs, Expedites Huge $29M Payout To Agencies Assisting Charleston Victims

By Jason Devaney, July 01, 2015 Newsmax

The Obama administration is fast-tracking a huge payout to the agencies helping victims of the Charleston, South Carolina church shooting, giving the families of those slain millions more in potential assistance than victims from Sandy Hook, Boston, and other mass murders.

The White House will send $29 million to South Carolina in the wake of the June 17 shooting that left nine people dead in a historic black church, according to a Reuters report.

According to Reuters, a chunk of the $29 million — which was allocated as part of the government's national Crime Victim Assistance Formula Grant program — can help provide services to the families of those killed. Among the dead was Pastor Clementa Pinckney, who also served as a South Carolina state senator.

Drunk Secret Service Agents Crash Car Into WH Barricade

By Warner Todd Hudson, Mar. 11, 2015, Breitbart.com

A pair of Secret Service agents, one a member of the president’s protective detail, are being investigated for crashing a car into a barricade outside the White House last week.

The March 4 incident occurred late at night, an agency report says. The officers were said to have been at a drinking party earlier that evening.

The Secret Service reported that an officer on duty that night wanted to detain the two involved in the accident. That official also wanted to administer a drug and alcohol test. Reportedly, another senior officer ruled that the two were to be let go without any sobriety tests performed.

This incident is just another spot of bad publicity for a troubled security service that recently saw director Julia Pierson resign over an increase in such incidents.

Obama To Host Illegal Immigrant Dreamers At White House

By Stephen Dinan, Feb. 3, 2015, The Washington Times

President Obama will host a half-dozen Dreamers — illegal immigrants here under his temporary deportation amnesty — at the White House on Wednesday as he tries to fight back against Republicans’ efforts to cancel his immigration policies.

A White House official said the president would meet with Dreamers from Texas, Maryland, Nevada, Connecticut, New York and Virginia, using them as evidence for why congressional Republicans should relent and allow his amnesties to remain in effect.

'Liberated' Obama Builds Momentum

Amie Parnes, Dec. 27, 2014, The Hill

Obama's poll numbers — which had previously slid into the low 40’s — are up, and the president has enjoyed a streak of good headlines.

Those factors, coupled with a rising economy, are making the White House optimistic about his final two years in office.

White House allies say the president feels an increased sense of liberation with the elections over. They predict that he will continue to be proactive in the face of the Republican Congress that will take power early next year.

Obama Administration Denies Advising On Move To Pull 'The Interview'

Thomson and Reuters, Dec. 19, 2014, Newsmax

A senior Administration official who spoke to Variety on condition of anonymity, said, "There was a meeting, and they did present to the government their issue. But to say that we instructed them, or made them to believe that we endorsed the idea of them pulling the film is categorically incorrect. The Administration, and no Administration, is in the habit of instructing businesses what to do or not do or how to conduct their business."

White House Says Sony Hack Ia A Serious National Security Matter

Ellen Nakashima, Dec. 18, 2014, Washington Post

Earnest’s remarks indicate the White House has elevated a case of hacking a Hollywood movie studio to a government-to-government level, signalling to the North Koreans that there probably will be a U.S. response of some sort.It is unlikely, however, that officials will announce the responses it is considering or the one it chooses. “There’s a lot of options,” the official said. “They likely won’t be discussed publicly anytime soon.”

Bombshell: Email Proves that White House, DOJ Targeted Reporter Sharyl Attkisson

Bryan Preston, Nov. 30, 2014, PJ Media

One of the documents provides smoking gun proof that the Obama White House and the Eric Holder Justice Department colluded to get CBS News to block reporter Sharyl Attkisson. Attkisson was one of the few mainstream media reporters who paid any attention to the deadly gun-running scandal.

In an email dated October 4, 2011, Attorney General Holder’s top press aide, Tracy Schmaler, called Attkisson “out of control.” Schmaler told White House Deputy Press Secretary Eric Schultz that he intended to call CBS news anchor Bob Schieffer to get the network to stop Attkisson.

WH Adviser To CNN: Big Broadcast Nets Just Not That Important Anymore

Matt Wilstein, Nov. 20, 2014, Mediaite

As CNN’s Brian Stelter reported this week, the White House “put out feelers” to see whether the big networks would be willing to disrupt their regular programming, during November sweeps, to carry the president’s address. But after receiving a lukewarm response, they decided not to formally request the time on those stations.

Report: WH Advisers Split On Executive Amnesty Delay

Breitbart TV, Nov. 13, 2014

Fox News Chief White House Correspondent Ed Henry reported that White House advisers were split on the issue of whether the president should delay his planned executive action on immigration until mid-December on Thursday’s “Special Report.”

“Circle December 11, 12 on the calendar…the continuing resolution, basically funding for the government runs out right around then, I'm told some of the president’s advisers are saying ‘don't blow up that budget deal by doing [these] immigration executive orders in the next few days.’

GOP Victory Stuns White House

By Ken Thomas and Nancy Benac, Nov. 5, 2014, Apnews.myway.com

WASHINGTON (AP) — A weakened President Barack Obama and emboldened Republican leaders in Congress began adjusting to a new political dynamic Wednesday after voters coast to coast used the midterm elections to sharpen the dividing lines in an already divided government.

The president scheduled an afternoon news conference to offer his take on an Election Day thumping of Democrats that gave Republicans new power to check his proposals. Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell was to give his version, too. He's now positioned to become the new Senate majority leader and confront the president over his signature health care law and on other issues.

Faced with the imperative of constructing a new working relationship, one of Obama's first post-election calls was to McConnell, although the two didn't connect. Obama left a message for the senator.

The election results were resounding: The GOP won control of the Senate and strengthened its hold on the House as a series of Democratic-leaning states fell under control of new Republican governors.

BOMBSHELL MEMO: Jeanne Shaheen Conspired With WH Insider On IRS Targeting Scandal

Patrick Howley, Nov. 3, 2014, Daily Caller

Democratic New Hampshire Sen. Jeanne Shaheen was principally involved in a plot with Lois Lerner and President Barack Obama’s political appointee at the IRS to lead a program of harassment against conservative nonprofit groups during the 2012 election, according to letters exclusively obtained by The Daily Caller.

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) did not want to publicly release 2012 correspondences exchanged between the IRS and Jeanne Shaheen at her personal Washington office: the agency delayed releasing the information to a major conservative super PAC multiple times, even threatening to see the super PAC in court, according to emails.
