By Hollywood Reporter, May 30, 2019

Several major Hollywood studios joined the chorus of industry voices speaking out against Georgia's new abortion law, which was signed by the governor on May 7.

"We operate and produce work in many states and within several countries at any given time, and while that doesn't mean we agree with every position taken by a state or country and their leaders, we do respect due process," WarnerMedia said Thursday in a statement. "We will watch the situation closely, and if the new law holds we will reconsider Georgia as the home to any new productions. As is always the case, we will work closely with our production partners and talent to determine how and where to shoot any given project."

By Washington Examiner, Nov. 07, 2017

More voters than not find the Big Three network newscasts and the nation’s three largest liberal newspapers “untrustworthy,” continuing a trend that started long before President Trump hit the scene, but one that has escalated since he moved into the White House.

The latest Zogby Poll found that 48 percent believe the media biggies — CBS, ABC, NBC, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Washington Post -- are untrustworthy while 45 percent said they could trust them. The rest were unsure.

Lois Lerner Considered Targeting Bristol Palin--Nets Skip

By Geoffrey Dickens, Aug 06, 2015 NewsBusters

Bristol Palin was once in Lois Lerner’s sights, according to a newly released Senate report on the IRS executive’s e-mails. The daughter of liberal media hate object Sarah Palin got on Lerner's radar due to her work with Candie’s Foundation - a group that works to reduce teen pregnancy.

In a newly released e-mail Lerner wrote: “Thoughts on the Bristol Palin issue? I’m asking because I don’t know whether to send to Exam as a referral.”   So far Lerner’s interest in the former Dancing with the Stars contestant has yet to be mentioned on the usually celebrity-obsessed Big Three (ABC, CBS, NBC) morning and evening shows.

ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN Sunday Shows Ignore Planned Parenthood Scanda

By Jeffrey Meyer, July 19, 2015 NewsBusted

On Fox News Sunday, moderator Chris Wallace called the undercover video “explosive” and it’s “horrifying to watch that doctor sitting there sipping her wine, eating her salad while she talks in these terms.”

Heritage Action’s Michael Needham was much more blunt in his reaction to the Planned Parenthood video as he stressed “this is what happens when you have a culture that says life is not intrinsically valuable.” In fact, Needham argued that this video was so horrifying that it may cause some pro-choice advocates to reevaluate their support for Planned Parenthood:

Nets Too Busy Hyping Parade, Celebrities To Notice Obama Admin. Defying Court

By Matthew Balan, July, 10, 2015, Newsbusters

On Friday, ABC, CBS, and NBC's evening newscasts all ignored how the Obama administration issued the latest version of its abortifacient/contraception mandate under ObamaCare, which ignores multiple court rulings against it – including the Supreme Court's Hobby Lobby ruling in 2014 – and again tries to force religious non-profits to fund drugs that they consider to be immoral. Instead, the Big Three programs all devoted over a minute and a half each to the ticker tape parade in New York City for the World Cup-winning U.S. national women's soccer team.

CBS's Anna Werner pointed out how each of the team members were given keys to the city, and hyped that "they may have already unlocked doors for a generation of girls to come." ABC's Paula Faris touted how the world champions were "proudly taking their victory lap."

Big Three Networks Give 2X More Coverage To Confederate Flag Than Westerners Joining ISIS

By Mike Ciandella, Jul. 4, 2015, Newsbusters

Despite briefly mentioning at least six reported instances of American citizens joining ISIS in June, and multiple FBI warnings about ISIS’s influence in the United States, the networks chose to devote more time to the “threat” posed by the existence of the Confederate flag. The evening news shows of ABC, CBS and NBC spent just 17 minutes, 35 seconds on the threat ISIS poses to American, and 37 minutes and 18 seconds on the controversy over the flag.

This disparity in news coverage occurred during a ramped up social media campaign by ISIS to recruit Americans and other westerners to commit acts of terrorism. When you factor in how many days of coverage each topic had (the Confederate flag debate didn’t begin until June 19, while ISIS has been recruiting westerners for the entire month), the flag debate got 5 times more coverage (186 seconds per day vs 35 seconds per day).

ABC Ignores Flat Wages, While NBC And CBS Reported Accurately

By Chris Houck, Jul. 2, 2015, Newsbusters

All three major broadcast networks covered on their Thursday evening newscasts the June 2015 jobs report, but it was ABC’s World News Tonight that neglected provide any further details and/or context beyond the unemployment rate and number of jobs added and omitted how hourly wages remained flat and the labor force participation rate sunk to its lowest level in 38 years. While CBS and NBC chronicled the numerous pitfalls to varying degrees, neither chose to look at why the numbers remained sluggish or assign blame for the state of the economy.

ICYMI: Intelligence Director: Iran Has Ability To Make Nuclear Weapon

By CBS, Mar. 3, 2015

President Obama's Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said Monday night on "Charlie Rose" that Iran producing nuclear weapons is about politics, not capabilities. He said the decision is up to the country's leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Clapper also described how Iran is backing Iraqi forces in their attempt to take back the city of Tikrit from ISIS. Charlie Rose reports.

Bob Schieffer On Obama: ‘Maybe We Were Not Skeptical Enough’

By Nick Gass, Jun. 1, 2015, Politico

CBS’ Bob Schieffer says that perhaps reporters in the media “were not skeptical enough” of President Barack Obama as a presidential candidate in 2008, telling Fox News’ Howard Kurtz that the whole political world was struck by the sudden rise of the senator from Illinois.

Asked whether the media gave Obama an “incredibly easy ride” when he broke onto the scene, the veteran newsman acknowledged that it’s the job of reporters to be skeptical of political figures.

“I don’t know. Maybe we were not skeptical enough. It was a campaign,” Schieffer said in the interview, which aired Sunday, adding that it is the role of the opponents to “make the campaign.”

Sharyl Attkisson Sues Administration Over Computer Hacking

Howard Kurtz, Jan. 5, 2015, Fox News

In a series of legal filings that seek $35 million in damages, Attkisson alleges that three separate computer forensic exams showed that hackers used sophisticated methods to surreptitiously monitor her work between 2011 and 2013.

CBS' Logan Quarantined After Ebola Report

David Bauder, Nov. 10, 2014, My Fox NY

Lara Logan of CBS News is being quarantined in a South Africa hotel for three weeks as a precaution after visiting an American-run hospital treating Ebola patients in Liberia for a "60 Minutes" report that aired Sunday.

CBS said Monday that Logan's 21-day self-quarantine will end this Friday. Neither Logan nor the four other CBS employees in South Africa have shown any sign that they are infected with the virus.

Logan, speaking in a "60 Minutes Overtime" web interview from the room where the CBS crew put its report together, admitted to some cabin fever as she waits out her stay. She said the South African government had given the crew permission to work at the hotel.

UNETHICAL: Sharyl Attkisson Reveals CBS Buried An Obama Quote On Benghazi

Alexa Coombs, Nov. 10, 2014, Political Insider

Former CBS reporter Sharyl Attkisson revealed explosive information on Fox News Channel’s “MediaBuzz” that CBS worked unethically to help President Obama win reelection.

Of course, you remember the infamous moment in the second presidential debate when moderator Candy Crowley interjected to wrongly say that Obama had called the Benghazi attack an act of terror on September 12, 2012. It turns out CBS sat on a clip of the president refusing to call the attack terrorism in an interview with Steve Kroft of “60 Minutes” from September 12th.

George P. Wins Texas Election, Accomplishes Bush Family First

CBS/AP, Nov. 4, 2014, CBS News

George P. Bush was elected Texas land commissioner in a landslide Tuesday, winning a little-known but powerful post that could eventually lead to higher offices and becoming the first in his family's political dynasty to win his first race.

Bush, a 38-year-old Fort Worth attorney and energy consultant, raised more than $3 million against his little-known Democratic opponent, former El Paso Mayor John Cook. Nonetheless, he spent months crisscrossing the state in a campaign bus adorned with his towering, grinning face.

Bush is the grandson of former President George H.W. Bush and nephew of President George W. Bush, who was Texas governor before taking the White House. His father, Jeb, is a former Florida governor who is considering a presidential run in 2016. But none of them--nor the family patriarch and source of George P.'s middle name, long-serving Connecticut Sen. Prescott Bush--won their first races.

Sharyl Attkisson: Hacking Software Was From FBI, CIA, DIA Or NSA

Fox News Insider, Nov. 3, 2014

On "The O'Reilly Factor" tonight, Attkisson said that she received inside information from government-connected sources that she had been hacked.

She contacted a computer forensics expert, who concluded that sophisticated intrusions had taken place, and the proprietary software on her computers was a type used by either the FBI, CIA, DIA or NSA, four government agencies.

Other experts and even a consultant hired by CBS later confirmed both the extent and sophistication of the hacking.

TV Ratings: 'Thursday Night Football' Drops With Snoozer Game

By Michael O'Connell, Sept. 19, 2014, Hollywoodreporter.com

The second outing of CBS' Thursday Night Football was bound to be smaller than last week — especially when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers entered the fourth quarter without having put any points on the board. Though the team did manage two scoring drives to avoid a shutout against the Atlanta Falcons, 14-56, many viewers had clearly turned the dial.

Preliminary ratings are down 40 percent from last week, with CBS and the NFL Net averaging a 3.3 rating among adults 18-49 in fast national returns. Last week's game, which averaged an early 5.5 rating, went up to a 7.5 in the key demo once time zone adjustments were made.

Obama: ‘I’m Going To Have To Act Alone’ On Border Crisis

Source:  www.examiner.com
By CBS Washington, Aug. 1, 2014, Washington.cbslocal.com

WASHINGTON (CBSDC/AP) — President Barack Obama says House Republicans are trying to pass the most extreme and unworkable version of an immigration bill even though they know the bill isn’t going anywhere.

Republicans pushed legislation through Friday evening in the House that could clear the way for eventual deportation of more than 500,000 immigrants brought here illegally as kids and address the surge of immigrants at the U.S.-Mexico border.

Obama says Republicans know that legislation won’t succeed in the Senate. He says Republicans aren’t even trying to solve the problem. He says they’re just trying check a box leaving town for their annual August recess.

House Republicans are “trying to pass the most extreme and unworkable versions of a bill that they already know is going nowhere,” Obama stated.

Obama says while Congress is away, he’ll have to make tough choices about immigration challenges himself. He’s alluding to executive action he’s said he’s considering to deal with immigrants in the U.S. illegally.

“I’m going to have to act alone,” Obama said, because the government is running out of money to deal with it.
