Liberal media outlets are using Facebook and other social outlets as a dragnet for other women who might want to accuse embattled Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, proclaiming that “the truth will emerge.”

Journalists and sources for ABC, the Washington Post, PBS and others are targeting sites like Facebook’s members only Holton-Arms alumnae for women who might have met Kavanaugh while in high school, suggesting strongly and without evidence that many others were abused.

ABC,  NBC Punt On News Of Top Secret Hillary Emails

By Curtis Houck, Aug 11, 2015 NewsBusters

On Tuesday night, ABC’s World News Tonight and NBC Nightly News ignored a new development in the growing Hillary Clinton e-mail scandal with news just prior to the newscasts that two of Clinton’s e-mails were found to have been “top secret” by the intelligence community’s inspector general. Meanwhile, the CBS Evening News was only able to scour together a 27-second news brief on the story while FNC’s Special Report mentioned it extensively in correspondent Mike Emanuel’s segment on the 2016 Democratic presidential primary.

On CBS, anchor Scott Pelley explained how: “Late today, we learned that the intelligence community inspector general has found that two e-mails on Hillary Clinton’s private server should have been classified top secret.”

Lois Lerner Considered Targeting Bristol Palin--Nets Skip

By Geoffrey Dickens, Aug 06, 2015 NewsBusters

Bristol Palin was once in Lois Lerner’s sights, according to a newly released Senate report on the IRS executive’s e-mails. The daughter of liberal media hate object Sarah Palin got on Lerner's radar due to her work with Candie’s Foundation - a group that works to reduce teen pregnancy.

In a newly released e-mail Lerner wrote: “Thoughts on the Bristol Palin issue? I’m asking because I don’t know whether to send to Exam as a referral.”   So far Lerner’s interest in the former Dancing with the Stars contestant has yet to be mentioned on the usually celebrity-obsessed Big Three (ABC, CBS, NBC) morning and evening shows.

ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN Sunday Shows Ignore Planned Parenthood Scanda

By Jeffrey Meyer, July 19, 2015 NewsBusted

On Fox News Sunday, moderator Chris Wallace called the undercover video “explosive” and it’s “horrifying to watch that doctor sitting there sipping her wine, eating her salad while she talks in these terms.”

Heritage Action’s Michael Needham was much more blunt in his reaction to the Planned Parenthood video as he stressed “this is what happens when you have a culture that says life is not intrinsically valuable.” In fact, Needham argued that this video was so horrifying that it may cause some pro-choice advocates to reevaluate their support for Planned Parenthood:

Nets Too Busy Hyping Parade, Celebrities To Notice Obama Admin. Defying Court

By Matthew Balan, July, 10, 2015, Newsbusters

On Friday, ABC, CBS, and NBC's evening newscasts all ignored how the Obama administration issued the latest version of its abortifacient/contraception mandate under ObamaCare, which ignores multiple court rulings against it – including the Supreme Court's Hobby Lobby ruling in 2014 – and again tries to force religious non-profits to fund drugs that they consider to be immoral. Instead, the Big Three programs all devoted over a minute and a half each to the ticker tape parade in New York City for the World Cup-winning U.S. national women's soccer team.

CBS's Anna Werner pointed out how each of the team members were given keys to the city, and hyped that "they may have already unlocked doors for a generation of girls to come." ABC's Paula Faris touted how the world champions were "proudly taking their victory lap."

Big Three Networks Give 2X More Coverage To Confederate Flag Than Westerners Joining ISIS

By Mike Ciandella, Jul. 4, 2015, Newsbusters

Despite briefly mentioning at least six reported instances of American citizens joining ISIS in June, and multiple FBI warnings about ISIS’s influence in the United States, the networks chose to devote more time to the “threat” posed by the existence of the Confederate flag. The evening news shows of ABC, CBS and NBC spent just 17 minutes, 35 seconds on the threat ISIS poses to American, and 37 minutes and 18 seconds on the controversy over the flag.

This disparity in news coverage occurred during a ramped up social media campaign by ISIS to recruit Americans and other westerners to commit acts of terrorism. When you factor in how many days of coverage each topic had (the Confederate flag debate didn’t begin until June 19, while ISIS has been recruiting westerners for the entire month), the flag debate got 5 times more coverage (186 seconds per day vs 35 seconds per day).

Report: No Evidence IRS Employees Told To Destroy Info

By WMDT 47/ABC, Jul. 3, 2015

WASHINGTON - (AP) - An internal government report has found no evidence that IRS employees were told to destroy or hide information from Congress or the Justice Department.

The report by the IRS Inspector General comes days after investigators testified on Capitol Hill that two IRS workers at a West Virginia computer center erased thousands of emails related to the tax agency's tea party scandal. The investigators said they found no criminal conspiracy.

ABC Ignores Flat Wages, While NBC And CBS Reported Accurately

By Chris Houck, Jul. 2, 2015, Newsbusters

All three major broadcast networks covered on their Thursday evening newscasts the June 2015 jobs report, but it was ABC’s World News Tonight that neglected provide any further details and/or context beyond the unemployment rate and number of jobs added and omitted how hourly wages remained flat and the labor force participation rate sunk to its lowest level in 38 years. While CBS and NBC chronicled the numerous pitfalls to varying degrees, neither chose to look at why the numbers remained sluggish or assign blame for the state of the economy.

Greece's Bailout Expires, Country Defaults On IMF Payment

By Elena Becatoros and Derek Gatopolulous, Jun. 30, 2015, ABC News/AP

Greece slipped deeper into its financial abyss after the bailout program it has relied on for five years expired at midnight Tuesday and the country failed to repay a loan due to the International Monetary Fund, deepening fears over whether it will be able to remain in the eurozone.

With its failure to repay the roughly 1.6 billion euros ($1.8 billion) to the IMF, Greece became the first developed country to fall into arrears on payments to the fund. The last country to do so was Zimbabwe in 2001.

After Greece made a last-ditch effort to extend its bailout, eurozone finance ministers decided in a teleconference late Tuesday night that there was no way they could reach a deal before the deadline.

"It would be crazy to extend the program," said Dutch Finance Minister Jeroen Dijsselbloem, who heads the eurozone finance ministers' body known as the eurogroup. "So that cannot happen and will not happen."

"The program expires tonight," Dijsselbloem said.

Election 2016: CNN Hires Nearly 40 New Political Reporters In Effort to Boost Ratings

By Michael O'Connell, Kate Stanhope,
Apr 20, 2015, The Hollywood Reporter

Hillary Clinton's April 12 reveal might have been the unofficial start of the 2016 presidential race, but the cable news networks — like Clinton herself — have been preparing for a lot longer. CNN in particular, bolstered by recent ratings growth, is determined to boost viewership this election cycle.

Chief Jeff Zucker recently bulked up his political reporting roster by nearly 40 heads.

"We have several dozen new employees covering politics for CNN that weren't here six months ago," says network senior vp and Washington bureau chief Sam Feist. "Under Jeff's direction, we're making a significant investment in covering this campaign. Our long-term goal is to build up our political team on TV and digital."

Recent hires include ABC News' Jeff Zeleny, Washington Post alum Nia-Malika Henderson, the L.A. Times' Maeve Reston and Wall Street Journal veteran Sara Murray. Also joining the usual suspects — Wolf Blitzer, Anderson Cooper and John King — in the political fray is Jake Tapper. CNN's chief D.C. correspondent, the first big hire of the Zucker era, will be a focal point during his first presidential campaign since departing ABC News.

ABC's 'Fresh Off The Boat' Panel Gets Rather Awkward

James Hibberd, Jan. 15, 2015, Entertainment Weekly

And the first comment to the panel is: “I love the Asian culture. And I was just talking about the chopsticks. And I just love all that. Will I get to see that? Or will it be more Americanized?”

Yet the reporter’s post-racial-America myth-busting comment suggests why a series like Fresh Off the Boat is long overdue—this is the first Asian-American sitcom on a major broadcast network in more than 20 years.
