WashPost Gushes For Over 3,000 Words on Black Transgender Woman Who's 'Not Caitlyn Jenner'

By Tim Graham, July 30, 2015 NewsBusters

The Washington Post’s ongoing series of articles aggressively promoting the acceptance of the science-deniers who practice transgenderism continued with a sprawling 3,133-word article on the front of Thursday’s Style section. The headline was “LIFE AS SARA: What it’s like to be a transgender woman when you’re not Caitlyn Jenner.” In other words, when you’re black and almost homeless.

The Post had a massive color photo of “Sara” Simone that took up the entire half of the paper above the fold. The story (and five additional photos, two of them almost a half-page each) took up all of pages C-6 and C-7. At the top of each of those inside pages were the sensitive statistics:

For the second time in a week, Fox News Channel (FNC) host Bill O’Reilly turned to statistics from the “very accurate” Media Research Center to form the basis of a segment of The O’Reilly Factor concerning the major broadcast network coverage of the Planned Parenthood scandal with Thursday’s mention comparing it with the droves of coverage given to the shooting death of Cecil the lion in Zimbabwe.

At the top of his weekly segment with FNC contributor Bernard Goldberg, O’Reilly alluded to “a comparison by the Media Research Center” that he described as having “been very accurate” about “the lion story versus the Planned Parenthood story reportage.” - See more at: http://newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/nb-staff/2015/07/31/oreilly-cites-very-accurate-mrc-numbers-planned-parenthood-lion#sthash.ODCbTdjz.pSgBZnou.dpuf

Baltimore Cops’ Attorneys Just Made Two Explosive Claims In Freddie Gray Case

By Chuck Ross, July 30, 2015 Daily Caller

The defense attorneys for the six Baltimore cops charged in the arrest and death of Freddie Gray made two explosive claims in a court motion filed on Thursday.

According to The Baltimore Sun, the officers’ attorneys are claiming that the office of Baltimore city state’s attorney Marilyn Mosby has evidence that the 25-year-old Gray had “attempted to injure himself” in police custody prior to his April 12 arrest. They also claim that Mosby had a “private meeting” with the medical examiner who conducted Gray’s autopsy days before the report was released.

Mosby’s office has failed to turn that evidence over to the defense, the attorneys asserted.

Obama's Illegal Immigration Prevention Spending In Central America Backfires, Entices Migrants

By Stephen Dinan, July 29, 2015 Washington Times

The U.S. government paid for a classroom full of computers in El Salvador, but the Salvadoran government never bothered to hire a teacher, investigators said Wednesday — one of a series of bungles in the Obama administration’s plan to flood Central America with U.S. money to try to stem another surge of illegal immigration.

In an expansive report on last summer’s surge, the Government Accountability Office said confusing and lenient U.S. policies pushed illegal immigrants to make the crossing, and even cited administration officials who said President Obama’s 2012 deportation amnesty for so-called Dreamers did entice some of the surge.

A California Judge Needs A Lesson In The First Amendment

By Hans von Spakovsky, July 30, 2015 Daily Signal

Late Wednesday, the Los Angeles Superior Court issued a temporary restraining order (TRO) banning the Center for Medical Progress from releasing video of a meeting with three StemExpress employees at a restaurant last May, potentially violating fundamental First Amendment precedents that bar prior restraints on speech.

The Center for Medical Progress (CMP), a group of “citizen journalists dedicated to monitoring and reporting on medical ethics and advances,” has released four undercover videos exposing Planned Parenthood’s program of selling aborted babies’ body parts—and they promise that more videos are on the way.  According to the Associated Press, StemExpress is a “Placerville-based company started in 2010 that provides human tissue, blood and other specimens to researchers.” Planned Parenthood is one of StemExpress’s main suppliers.

U.S. Intel Fears Hundreds Of Secrets Leaked In Hillary’s Private Emails

By  John Solomon, July 30, 2015 Washington Times

The U.S. intelligence community is bracing for the possibility that former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton’s private email account contains hundreds of revelations of classified information from spy agencies and is taking steps to contain any damage to national security, according to documents and interviews Thursday.

The top lawmakers on the House and Senate intelligence committee have been notified in recent days that the extent of classified information on Mrs. Clinton’s private email server was likely far more extensive than the four emails publicly acknowledged last week as containing some sensitive spy agency secrets.

Chinese Factory Replaces 90% Of Humans With Robots, Production Soars

By Conner Forrest, July 30, 2015 Techre Public

The gravest fear that has rippled through humanity from the technology industry is that, someday, almost all of our jobs will be replaced by robots.

While that fear is often laughed off as something that will only happen far into the future, the truth is that it's actually happening right now.

In Dongguan City, located in the central Guangdong province of China, a technology company has set up a factory run almost exclusively by robots, and the results are fascinating.

The Changying Precision Technology Company factory in Dongguan has automated production lines that use robotic arms to produce parts for cell phones. The factory also has automated machining equipment, autonomous transport trucks, and other automated equipment in the warehouse.

Clinton Campaign Complains Of' 'Egregious' New York Times Reporting Errors

By Dylan Byers, July 30, 2015 Politico

The Hillary Clinton campaign sent a nearly 2,000-word letter to the executive editor of The New York Times this week expressing "grave concern" with a recent and controversial report relating to the former Secretary of State's private email account.

"We remain perplexed by the Times’ slowness to acknowledge its errors after the fact, and some of the shaky justifications that Times’ editors have made," Clinton communications director Jennifer Palmieri wrote in the letter to Dean Baquet, which the campaign forwarded to the On Media blog late Thursday night.

"I feel obliged to put into context just how egregious an error this story was," Palmieri continued. "The New York Times is arguably the most important news outlet in the world and it rushed to put an erroneous story on the front page charging that a major candidate for President of the United States was the target of a criminal referral to federal law enforcement. Literally hundreds of outlets followed your story, creating a firestorm that had a deep impact that cannot be unwound. This problem was compounded by the fact that the Times took an inexplicable, let alone indefensible, delay in correcting the story and removing 'criminal' from the headline and text of the story."

The Astonishing Weakness Of Hillary Clinton

By Michael Brendan Dougherty
July 31, 2015
The Week

Hillary Clinton is as unpopular as she ever has been. Her favorability ratings have fallen to just 40 percent. Her campaign is already heading south, even though she has serious advantages over everyone else in the campaign, both Democratic and Republican.

Her opponents in the Democratic field do not pose a plausible mathematical threat. Bernie Sanders can attract huge crowds in college towns, but he is going nowhere with the African-American voters who would be key to building an anti-Clinton Democratic primary coalition. Martin O'Malley's record, shaped by his transition from the Baltimore mayoralty to the Maryland statehouse, has made him radioactive to an activist Democratic base that wants criminal justice reform and that winces when a politician like him says, "All Lives Matter." Clinton is thus free to define her agenda apart from them.

Insiders Warn Jeb: Don't Engage With Trump

By Katie Glueck, July 31, 2015 Politico

When Jeb Bush and Donald Trump share a debate stage next week, Bush needs to ignore the real estate mogul at all costs —and if that fails, laugh him off.
That’s the advice given by more than half of the POLITICO Caucus, our weekly, bipartisan survey of the top activists, operatives and strategists in Iowa and New Hampshire.

“The old maxim applies: Never wrestle with a pig,” counseled a New Hampshire Republican. “You get dirty, and besides, the pig likes it.”
At the first GOP primary debate, slated for Aug. 6 in Cleveland, Bush and eight other Republicans will share the stage with Trump, the bombastic businessman who is leading the Republican field in recent polls and dominating headlines. Trump has been critical of a host of other GOP candidates, but he is an especially sharp and persistent critic of Bush — even attacking Bush in his own announcement for president.

Time To Get Tough Trump’s Blockbuster Policy Manifesto

By Stephen K. Bannon, July 12, 2015 Breitbart

The Washington Establishment’s increasing angst and opposition to billionaire real estate mogul Donald Trump’s presidential candidacy is predicated on the notion that his highly-quotable catchphrases—“Take the oil!” or “Build a wall!”—lack substantive policy prescriptions to back them up. In short, the RINO caucus’ knock on Trump is that his solutions are unserious, unmeasured, quixotic.

Yet if the chattering class fears Trump’s recent surge in the polls, they will go into panic-filled paroxysms when they read Trump’s smart and serious bestseller, Time to Get Tough: Making America #1 Again.

Among Trump’s many bestselling, anecdote-filled books, Time to Get Tough (originally published in 2011) stands out as his most penetrating, serious, and detailed enunciation of his political philosophy and policy views. Trump says it’s the “best book I’ve ever written” and is “better than The Art of the Deal.” Trump added, “It’s the hardest I’ve ever worked on a book. And it’s the most thought I’ve ever put into a book.”

The Iran Nuke Documents Obama Doesn’t Want You to See

By Tim Mak, July 30, 2015 Daily Beast

Seventeen unclassified Iran deal items have been locked in ultra-secure facilities ordinarily used for top secret info. Why is the Obama administration trying to bury this material?
Scattered around the U.S. Capitol complex are a series of Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Facilities, or SCIFs, which are typically used to hold Top Secret information.

But today in these deeply secure settings are a series of unclassified documents—items dealing with the Iran nuclear deal that are not secret, but that the Obama administration is nevertheless blocking the public from reading.

The Obama administration delivered 18 documents to Congress on July 19, in accordance with legislation requiring a Congressional review of the nuclear deal. Only one of these documents is classified, while the remaining 17 are unclassified.

Hold The Phone, Central! Cellphone Radiation Can Cause Cancer: Study

By Meredith Engel, July 29, 2015 Daily News

The scientists were right — your cell phone can give you cancer.

There have long been whispers of a cancer connection from your cell — and a new study backs up the claims.

"These data are a clear sign of the real risks this kind of radiation poses for human health," study author Igor Yakymenko said.

CELLPHONE OWNERS WOULD ABANDON THEIR CATS OVER THEIR SMARTPHONES IN A FIRE: SURVEY

Yakymenko’s meta-study — basically a study of hundreds of other studies — reveals many findings of previous researchers into how radiofrequency from your phone can damage DNA.

That damage can add up over time and cause a variety of health problems, like cancer, headaches, fatigue and even skin problems.

Did You Ever Notice the Asterisk on Your Social Security Statement?

By Myra Adams, July 30, 2015 National Review

hile engaging in the mundane task of gathering financial statements for a “secure retirement” meeting with my husband’s and my adviser, this Baby Boomer stumbled upon documented proof that our nation does not have the guts to confront one of its most serious economic problems. The realization came when I pulled from my files a document statement innocently titled, “Your Social Security Statement.”

At first glance, the statement did not appear menacing. I was told I could expect to receive a benefit of “about $2,136 a month” upon reaching age 70 — which certainly seems like good news. But immediately I thought of a parallel of President Obama’s infamous Obamacare promise: “If you like your Social Security, you can keep your Social Security.”

FLASHBACK: Surprised? News Corp. Donates More To Democrats Than Republicans

By Becket Adams, Aug 23, 2012 The Blaze

Not news: Reading that major media outlets donate more to Democrat candidates than Republican candidates.

News: Learning Media tycoon Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation (which owns The Wall Street Journal, The New York Post, the 20th Century Fox studios, and Fox News) donates much more to Democrats than Republicans.

Really?

“All the major media companies, driven largely by their Hollywood film and television businesses, have made larger contributions to President Obama than to his rival, former Gov. Mitt Romney,” The New York Times reports, citing the nonprofit Center for Responsive Politics.

“The center’s numbers represent donations by a company’s PAC and any employees who listed that company as their employer,” the report adds.

But Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp.?

The Fox News GOP Debate Could Draw The Biggest Audience In Cable News History

By  Gabriel Sherman, July 30, 2015 NY Mag

At the start of his career, not long after he helped Richard Nixon win the 1968 election, Roger Ailes boasted to a reporter that television would one day replace the political party as the most powerful force in American politics. If there is any doubt that the Fox News founder has largely made that prediction come true, it should be erased by the panic that next week’s Fox debate is stoking inside the GOP. In a year that features the largest primary field in modern history — not to mention Donald Trump as a front-runner — campaign strategists worry that Ailes's debate, which is likely to attract the biggest audience in cable-news history, could define the race more than five months before the first votes are cast.

Men React to Their Girlfriends Getting Catcalled

By Erica Tempesta, July 28, 2015 Daily Mail

A group of men were made to understand how street harassment makes women feel uncomfortable - and even afraid - after they watched shocking footage of their own girlfriends getting catcalled as they casually walked down the street.

As a part of an enlightening social experiment by Cosmopolitan.com, three women were asked to wear hidden GoPro cameras as they walked around New York City. Later, their boyfriends sat down with them to watch the disturbing footage and share their reactions.

'That's so messed up,' a man named Jon said of Tessa, his girlfriend of one year, getting harassed in the street.

How To Decode Terrorists Tweets

By Helle Dale, July 30, 2015 Daily Signal

With every new terrorist attack, the inevitable question we all end up asking is “why didn’t anyone see it coming?”

Even with the increased experience of terrorism around the globe, there is still no clear answer for how and why someone becomes motivated to commit these heinous crimes.

In recent congressional testimony, FBI Director James Comey stated that his agency was overwhelmed, dealing with terrorists who have “gone dark” through encrypted communication on the Internet and appealing for greater help from local law enforcement authorities to ferret out potential attackers.

Many communications, however, remain accessible and can provide important clues through the use of key words used by potential terrorists—especially those on Twitter.

Bernie-Mentum? Sanders Hosts 'House Party' For 100,000

By Whitney Ksiazek, July 30, 2015 Fox News

Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders told supporters they were making history as he live-streamed from a modest, packed, and steamy apartment in Washington, D.C on Wednesday night.

Delivering remarks off a yellow legal pad balanced precariously on a wobbly music stand, Sanders said no campaign has ever held such a large online organizing effort so early on in the campaign.

“The American people are saying loudly and clearly enough is enough,” he said.

The Democratic presidential hopeful hit the major themes of his campaign, such as income inequality, raising the minimum wage, and campaign finance reform. But just weeks after the senator’s speech at a progressive event was interrupted by “Black Lives Matter” protestors, he stressed the need to “combat institutional racism in America” and criminal justice reform.

“We are tired of seeing black women yanked out of a car thrown to the ground. Assaulted, put in handcuffs and then sent to jail and die three days later in the case of Sandra Bland. For what crime? She didn’t signal.”

Mark Levin's 'Plunder and Deceit'

By Thomas Lifson, July 29, 2015 American Thinker

Once again Mark Levin, the constitutional scholar and radio talk show host, has written an important book that should be in the library of every thoughtful conservative. But this book is different, in that thoughtful conservatives should buy multiple copies and bestow the extras on younger people they care about. For in its essence, this book is a call to arms for the generation that will inherit the wreckage being created by what Levin calls the “ruling generation” – the holders of political power and those who sustain them in office. The younger age cohorts are the people whose future has been “plundered” (Levin’s choice of title is apt) by the policies advanced by progressives and acquiesced to by establishment Republicans.

New Hampshire Voters Explain the Appeal of Donald Trump

By David Knowlest, July 30, 2015 Bloomberg

Donald Trump is a brand, and his New Hampshire supporters are itching to buy it.

A Bloomberg Politics focus group of 12 Republican and independent voters who are supportive of Donald Trump's presidential candidacy shed light Wednesday night on the billionaire's swift rise to the top of the GOP field, and confirmed that his brash, “You're fired!” style and lack of experience in politics is more of an asset than a liability.

“He says it like it is,” said Jessica, a data analyst, during the focus group in the first-in-the-nation primary state, conducted by Purple Strategies at St. Anselm College in Manchester. “He speaks the truth.”

Iran: Obama Admin Lying About Nuclear Deal for ‘Domestic Consumption’

By Adam Kredo, July 30, 2015 Free Beacon

Senior Iranian officials are accusing the Obama administration of lying about the details of the recent nuclear accord in order to soothe fears among U.S. lawmakers and Americans about the implications of the deal, which will release billions of dollars to the Islamic Republic while temporarily freezing its nuclear program, according to reports from Iran’s state-controlled media.

As Secretary of State John Kerry and other senior Obama administration figures launch a full-court press to convince Congress to approve the  deal, Iranian leaders are dismissing the rhetoric as “aimed at domestic consumption.”

Kerry and other top administration officials have been defending the deal on Capitol Hill in recent days, claiming that it will rein in the Islamic Republic’s contested nuclear program and fix its nuclear “breakout” period, the time required for it to obtain the amount of highly enriched uranium necessary for a nuclear weapon, at one year.
