Morning Joe: Huckabee's Comments On #IranDeal 'Deplorable'

On Monday’s edition of MSNBC’s Morning Joe, co-host Mika Brzezinski called presidential candidate Mike Huckabee’s recent comments about the recent Iran deal “ugly, callous, shocking and deeply disturbing,” and angrily declared that this should be a “deal breaker” for his campaign. She goes on to discuss with a panel how the GOP hopeful’s comments are the worst thing anyone has said so far this election cycle.

Brzezinski is referring to recent comments where the former Arkansas governor called out President Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran, which he claimed would “take the Israelis and march them to the door of the oven.” Huckabee is a strong opponent of this deal considering Iran is the leading state-sponsor of terrorism and a vocal opponent of Israel's existence. The treaty lifts crippling sanctions off the Middle-Eastern country, limits the United State’s ability to conduct surprise inspections of nuclear facilities, and releases $100 billion in sanctioned funds.

Donald Trump is meeting with Texas Sen. Ted Cruz in Manhattan on Wednesday, though he claimed in an interview on MSNBC that he does not know why.

“Ted Cruz called me. And I don’t know why I’m meeting him, to be honest, but I do have respect for him,” Trump said on “Morning Joe” in a wide-ranging interview in which the Republican presidential contender commented on issues foreign, domestic and everything in between.

“I respect the fact that along with a couple of others, he came out and he came out very strongly and agreed with what I said on illegal immigration. And he came out very strongly and he came out early, and I respect that. I like him,” he added.
Speaking with reporters later Wednesday at the Capitol, Cruz called himself a “big fan of Donald Trump’s.”

Joe Scarborough isn't exactly the voice of movement conservatism, but with Joe away today, Mika Brzezinski took advantage to flood Morning Joe's first hour with a lopsided liberal lineup of guests supporting President Obama's executive-order amnesty. The first two guests were Javier Palomarez, head of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and Ray Suarez of Al Jazeera [ex of NPR]. A bit later, Dem Rep. Linda Sanchez put in an appearance. No Republican or conservative was given a chance in the first hour to decry the President's diktat. At the top of hour two Mika finally let Matt Lewis of the Daily Caller appear. But far from being a full-throated critic, Lewis said that he favors a path to citizenship, supports the substance of Obama's executive order, and cautioned Republicans against using Obama's own language about the illegality of his act against him. Thanks for nuthin'!

 In March 2006, CBS News announced that President George W. Bush had stumbled into a “record low” approval rating of 34 percent. All the other networks jumped on the poll. CNN was reporting the number every hour on the hour. The survey confirmed their suspicions. The wheels on the Bush presidency had come off.

 Last week, ABC and The Washington Post found Barack Obama is "facing the worst poll numbers of his presidency,” with an approval rating of 41 percent, and 52 percent disapproving. It's another administration on political life support. ABC offered its own survey a mere 18 seconds of attention from “Good Morning America” on April 29, and nothing on its own news that night. The others said nothing.

 ABC morning anchor Amy Robach noted: "And President Obama is returning to Washington today, facing the worst poll numbers of his presidency. His approval rating has dropped to 41 percent, mostly because of the economy." That was the alpha and omega.

 They had no time for anything else, including the other numbers. ABC’s website expanded a bit. "Registered voters by 53-39 percent in the national survey say they'd rather see the Republicans in control of Congress as a counterbalance to Obama’s policies than a Democratic-led Congress to help support him." How was that not part of the story, in either the ABC morning or evening TV news reports?

 ABC's poll was no fluke. Shortly thereafter NBC News and The Wall Street Journal found Obama’s approval rating at 44 percent, 50 percent disapproving, still awful. NBC morning anchor Natalie Morales spent only 46 seconds on the poll numbers, this time giving it NBC's shameless Team Obama spin. “President Obama's popularity is up slightly, and so is his embattled health care law, this according to the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll. The President's approval rating is at 44 percent. That's up three points since March. Still, though, 50 percent of those polled disapprove of the job the President is doing.”

If the bigoted, anti-Semitic, tax cheating race-hustling poverty pimp, the Rev. Al Sharpton, had any credibility left, it’s long gone.
  

Sharpton, the beneficiary of a lifetime of passes by our race-conscious mainscream media, ran into an outlet not afraid of him -- The Smoking Gun. They obtained material that exposed Sharpton as having worked as an FBI “informant.” Sharpton, of course, denies being a “snitch.” No, he “volunteered” to “cooperate” with the FBI. He acted with the most honorable of motives.
  

Why would the government-hating “civil rights” leader cooperate with the feds? Sharpton told “Morning Joe” that he did so to root out “mob influence” in the record business. To this, MSNBC’s suppliant Joe Scarborough actually called Sharpton “a great example.”
  

Here’s the problem. A “60 Minutes” outtake from their 2011 Sharpton profile shows correspondent Leslie Stahl aggressively questioning him about being an FBI “informant.” Sharpton admits “cooperating,” but says he did so to expose “crack houses” and corruption in boxing. He said the FBI asked him “what I know about [boxing promoter] Don King.”
  

That was then, in 2011. Sharpton said nothing about the mob from the record business -- the reason he now offered up on “Morning Joe.” The feds, in 1983, caught Sharpton on tape attempting to arrange a drug deal. In exchange for prosecution, Sharpton cut a deal. Nothing noble, just a phony “civil rights” leader condemning drugs while dealing them -- at least attempting to deal them. A con artist agreeing to snitch to save his hide. Nothing more, nothing less.
  

Yesterday, CBS released these outtakes, calling them an “interesting exchange” given this week’s “new revelations.” They show the lying, shifty, obviously uncomfortable Sharpton dodging and deflecting -- clearly unhappy with the line of questioning. Some CBS producer or exec decided not to broadcast this part of the interview on TV. Were these “interesting” outtakes available online in 2011 when the Sharpton profile first aired? If not, why? Sharpton probably threatened to sue for defamation, and CBS backed down.
  

If so, shame on “60 Minutes” for only releasing these bombshell outtakes just now -- having sat on them for three years. And shame on the mainscream media for allowing The Smoking Gun to do the job they should have done a long time ago. After all, the fraudulent “civil rights” leader made his bones knowingly and falsely accusing a man of raping Tawana Brawley. Obscenities like Sharpton usually make enemies.  He has, including some who began as friends or colleagues.

One, described by the New York Post as a “drug trafficker who worked for Al Sharpton’s nonprofit in the 1980s, recently told the newspaper, “It was greed. [Sharpton] just wanted money.”

And in a “People” magazine Sharpton profile, a former aide, Perry McKinnon, claims Sharpton, knew that the whole Tawana Brawley affair was a hoax. No matter, Sharpton allegedly assured McKinnon, “We’ll be the biggest n---gs in the country.”

It’s good to be Sharpton. As a “civil rights leader” he’s managed to avoid prison despite being million of dollars light in federal and state income taxes: Taxes Are For Little People

He also failed to pay payroll taxes in his money losing non-profit:

His busy life includes a daily hour show on MSNBC; a three-hour daily radio show; and CEO of a non-profit “civil rights organization” called the National Action Network. Sharpton claims to put in a 40-hour workweek at NAN, in addition to preparing for and putting on his daily radio and television show.

By the way, is the IRS at all interested in how Sharpton manages to do all this -- and still work 40 hours per week to justify his $250K NAN CEO salary? No, the standard 24-hour day clearly does not apply to Sharpton.

Celebritynetworth.com clocks him in $5+ million. Not bad for “no justice, no peace.”

The 77% Lie —And Why Obama Keeps Telling It

A quick way to kill debate is to accuse your political adversary of "lying."

Still, it's hard to figure out what else propels President Obama to falsely assert, yet again, that employers rip off female employees by paying them 23 cents less per dollar than men — for doing the same work.

In his last State of the Union address, Obama said:

"Today, women make up about half our workforce. But they still make 77 cents for every dollar a man earns. That is wrong, and in 2014 it's an embarrassment. A woman deserves equal pay for equal work. She deserves to have a baby without sacrificing her job."
See, the president begins the statement with a fact. That is, women on the whole make 77 cents on the dollar compared to the earnings of men, on the whole.

But here, as he has other times, Obama has added for the same work, or, as in this case, "equal pay for equal work." This makes the statement not only flat-out false, but insultingly so.

MSNBC's "Morning Joe" co-host Mika Brzezinski echoed Obama:
"Of course, women get paid 77 cents for every dollar men earn for the same exact job, so it's something that needs to be rectified, obviously."

(Now, according to the Daily Beast, at $2 million, Mika makes half of what Scarborough makes. Time to hire a new agent perhaps, but it does not excuse falsely telling women that they face a 23-cent ovary discount.)

Even the federal government — that Obama serves as chief executive — knows this is nonsense.

In 2009, the U.S. Department of Labor found that, after controlling for obvious education and job differences, the gender "wage gap" shrank to only 95%. The Labor Department report also noted women often make different choices than men:

"A greater percentage of women than men tend to work part-time. Part-time work tends to pay less than full-time work. A greater percentage of women than men tend to leave the labor force for childbirth, childcare and elder care.

"Some of the wage gap is explained by the percentage of women who were not in the labor force during previous years, the age of women, and the number of children in the home.

"Women, especially working mothers, tend to value 'family friendly' workplace policies more than men. Some of the wage gap is explained by industry and occupation, particularly, the percentage of women who work in the industry and occupation."
