Sheriff Joe Arpaio Wins First Court Battle In Lawsuit Over Obama Amnesty

Darren Pope, Dec. 11, 2014, Examiner

US District Judge Beryl A. Howell in Washington, DC, granted a motion by Arpaio's attorney, Larry Klayman of FreedomWatch, to allow the case to move along quickly. Howell ordered President Obama to respond to Arpaio’s motion for a preliminary injunction -- to protect the U.S. while the court considers the constitutionality of Obama’s actions -- by Dec. 15. A full preliminary injunction hearing is set for Dec. 22. Two Department of Justice attorneys representing Obama in the case had asked for the deadline for their initial response to be delayed until late January.

Israel’s 20% Non-Jewish population—5th Column?

Larry Hart, Nov. 21, 2014, Examiner

Every bit indigenous to the land no less than Jews who have lived there since before the time of Christ, the Druze, Bedouin and Christian Arabs for 66 years have proven to be patriotic, in favor of the Zionist government, serve in the army and are represented in the Knesset.

As an anecdote the fifth victim of the synagogue Jerusalem massacre a few days ago was a Druze policeman who gave his life in defense of his fellow citizens. They are saying that his actions prevented more from being killed. He is being hailed posthumously as a hero.

Sen. Barbara Boxer
Joe Newby, Jun. 13, 2014, Examiner.com

It's become standard operating procedure for many on the left. Whenever something bad happens, blame George W. Bush. Such was the case Thursday when Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., a member of the Foreign Relations Committee, blamed the former president for the current crisis in Iraq, Talking Points Memo reported.

She also hammered Republicans who supported the war in Iraq but now criticize Barack Obama's handling of the situation as part of the "blame-America-first crowd."

"Some of the biggest GOP cheerleaders for the disastrous war in Iraq are now joining the blame-America-first crowd rather than working with our Commander-in-Chief to confront this crisis," she said.

Boxer also said the current mess in Iraq "has its roots in an ill-conceived war," and said that while the U.S. should "go after" ISIS, the Sunni organization taking over parts of Iraq, "any U.S. action must be well-considered and well-executed in coordination with our allies and the Iraqi government and military, which we helped train and arm."

Boxer, TPM added, was one of 23 senators who voted against the resolution authorizing use of force in Iraq in 2002.

But it seems the real root of the current problem may lie in the fact that the Obama administration released the man who now runs ISIS in 2009.

Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the new leader of ISIS, is called the "driving force behind al-Qaeda’s resurgence throughout Syria and Iraq, putting it at the forefront of the war to topple President Bashar al-Assad and starting a fresh campaign of mayhem against the Western-backed government in Baghdad."

He was arrested by U.S. forces in 2005 and held at Camp Bucca where, the Telegraph added, other al Qaeda leaders were held. He was released in 2009. According to the Telegraph, he may have been one of thousands of suspected insurgents "granted amnesty as the US began its draw down in Iraq."

Boko Hamarm Members

By David Cordera, Mar. 10, 2010, Examiner.com

"UN chief Ban Ki-moon and Washington led calls for restraint on Monday after the slaughter of more than 500 Christians in Nigeria, as survivors told how the killers chopped down their victims.

And this happened while the victims were supposedly under government protection:

[S]ecurity forces... faced bitter criticism over how the killers were able to go on the rampage at a time when a curfew was meant to be in force.

The attack wasn't exactly a surprise:

...Muslim residents of the villages in Plateau state had been warned by phone text message, two days prior to the attack, so they could make good their escape...

Apparently, the politically incorrect killers used "profiling":

Those who failed to respond in the same language were hacked to death.

Thankfully, the UN leader is "concerned," and is joined by Hillary Clinton in calling for "restraint." After all:

"People were attacked with axes, daggers and cutlasses -- many of them children, the aged and pregnant women."

That'll restrain 'em.

Add to that the "Plateau State Christian Elders Consulatative Forum (PSCEF)" characterizing the attack as "another jihad and provocation," and the fact that "the authorities," that is, the ones with "control" of guns "did nothing to prevent the bloodshed."

And what's with the attackers "firing in the air"? Someone evidently had guns. In spite of Nigeria's "Firearms Act."I'll save you from reading the whole thing—here are the important parts:

No person shall have in his possession or under his control any firearm of one of the categories specified in Part I of the Schedule hereto (hereinafter referred to as a prohibited firearm) except in accordance with a licence granted by the President acting in his discretion.

It seems that for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., the rules don’t matter.  On Wednesday, we reported that Reid’s official Senate website includes a page dedicated to attacking the Koch brothers, private citizens with whom Reid disagrees.  But it turns out that page violates Senate Internet policies regarding webpages, the Daily Caller reported on Wednesday.

The Daily Caller reports:
By Robby Soave, Apr. 2, 2014, The Daily Caller
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has escalated his war of words against the billionaire Koch brothers by publishing an anti-Koch hit piece on his Senate.gov page, despite official rules prohibiting the use of U.S. senators’ .gov websites for political purposes.
The Senate.gov web page belonging to the Nevada Democrat currently features a list of “facts” about the Koch brothers, their limited government views and financial support for candidates that support these views.
“The Kochs want to abolish Social Security,” reads the page. “The Kochs spent $400 million on misleading attack ads in the last election cycle.”
