ABCs George Stephanopoulos Failed To Disclose $50K Clinton Foundation Donation

ABC News host and former Clinton White House aide George Stephanopoulos has apologized for failing to disclose that he donated $50,000 to the Clinton Foundation.

The failure to disclose the donations raises serious conflict of interest concerns, especially in light of a recent interview Stephanopoulos conducted with the author of a book that questions how the Clinton Foundation operates.

The Washington Free Beacon first investigated Stephanopoulos’ donations. ABC News then alerted Politico that the longtime Democratic strategist gave $25,000 in both 2013 and 2014 to the Clinton Foundation.

Last month, Stephanopoulos conducted an interview with Peter Schweizer, the author of the book “Clinton Cash.”

New Clinton Foundation Chief Blocked Conservative Women From Forming Group As University President

The outgoing University of Miami president tapped to head the Clinton Foundation once tried to block a conservative group founded by four female students from organizing on campus.

Donna Shalala, who also served as former President Bill Clinton’s Secretary of Health and Human Services, was recently hand-picked to take over as CEO of the Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea Clinton Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to global health and to improving health and wellness for women and girls.

It was the 2002-2003 school year when Shalala and her university administration rejected an upstart group, Advocates for Conservative Thought, on the grounds that it would be redundant since the school already had a College Republicans chapter.

ACT’s four female founders, Colleen Donovan, Nathalia Gillot, Andrea Kiser and Sarah Canale, began organizing in late 2002.

Websites like StopRush.net track Limbaugh’s advertisers, publishing their contact information. The sites, part of the “Stop Rush” or “Boycott Rush” movement, encourage their thousands of followers to boycott the companies.

Nancy Pelosi: Civilization In Jeopardy If GOP A Takes Senate

 On the one hand, California U.S. Rep. Nancy Pelosi claims that Democrats are not “fear-mongers;” on the other hand, she believes civilization is doomed if Republicans take control of the Senate from Democrats in November.

 The former speaker of the House made those dramatic, incongruous statements on “Real Time with Bill Maher,” which aired live from Washington, D.C. Friday.

 Maher asked Pelosi about recent polling which shows that the GOP is likely to take over the upper chamber and asked, given gridlock in Washingon, why it matters that Democrats keep control.

 “It would be very important for the Democrats to retain control of the Senate,” Pelosi told Maher. “Civilization as we know it today would be in jeopardy if the Republicans win the Senate.”

Knockout Game Attacker Asked Man If He Head A Gun Before Punching

A teenager playing “knockout game” punched a Florida man in the face after making certain he was not carrying a gun, the victim told police.

According to a witness who saw the attack unfold, a teenager approached a man who was walking alone on Neptune Beach on July 31, the Florida Times-Union reported Friday.

According to the victim, the teen, who was with three accomplices, asked him if he had a “glock.”

While Glock is a weapons manufacturer, the term “glock” is also used generically to describe any type of handgun.

After the man said that he did not have a weapon, the teen punched him in the face.

Instances of the “knockout game” have been widely reported in cities across the country over the last several years. Carried out most often by teenagers — usually in groups — the goal of the so-called game is to knock a target unconscious. Several people have died during the attacks.

Fearing that outcome, the victim pulled out a folding knife that he was carrying and pretended it was a gun, according to the Florida Times-Union.

The attackers fled down the beach but were soon apprehended. The victim identified his attacker, who turned out to be 15-years old.

Now Police Chief Says Cop Realized During Stop That Michael Brown Robbed Store

Ferguson, Mo. police chief Tom Jackson now says that Darren Wilson, the police officer who fatally shot Michael Brown last Saturday, realized after he stopped Brown and a friend in the street that he was responsible for a strong-arm robbery at a convenience store.

The new information, which Jackson provided to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, comes at the tail end of a day of turmoil and confusion — most of which was created by Jackson.

In his first Friday bombshell, at an early-morning press conference, Jackson first reported Wilson’s name. He also released an information packet that contained evidence that Brown had taken part in the strong-arm robbery mere minutes before he was shot.

But Jackson added new, important details in a second press conference about what the officer knew and when he knew it. He said that when Wilson stopped Brown and his friend, he was not aware that Brown was a suspect in the robbery.

But during a struggle with Brown, Wilson saw the cigars he had lifted from the convenience store and tied Brown to the crime, Jackson said, according to the Post-Dispatch.

Missouri State Highway Patrol Capt. Ron Johnson, who is currently heading community relations efforts, confirmed Jackson’s claim telling CNN saying that the chief brought up the new wrinkle in a meeting in the afternoon.

Texas Sheriffs Speak Out On Damage From Illegal Immigration

 The influx of illegal immigrants into southern Texas is depleting law enforcement resources and causing heavy amounts of damage in the area, said several sheriffs gathered for the annual Sheriff’s Association of Texas convention.

 “The damage is constant,” Brooks County chief deputy Benny Martinez told News 4 San Antonio at the conference, held in San Antonio on Monday and Tuesday.

 Martinez estimated that 85 percent of cases he handles are related to immigration issues and that his rural county is not equipped to handle the workload. (RELATED: Border Meltdown: Obama Delivering 290,000 Illegals To U.S. Homes)

According to News 4, ranches just north of the border are facing ripped fences, broken water pipes and a spate of stolen, wrecked and abandoned vehicles.

 “When you have to focus on the rush of undocumented immigrants coming through your county, what does that do to your staffing? Of course it kinda takes some of our staffing from being out on patrol,” Karnes County sheriff Dwayne Villaneuva told Time Warner News.
