Bill Maher Says Matt Drudge, Fox News And Conservative Media Inspired Dylann Roof [VIDEO]

 Comedian Bill Maher said conservative media — including the Drudge Report, Fox News and The Daily Caller — may have had a hand in inspiring Dylann Roof to shoot up a black church in Charleston, S.C. this week.

Maher was discussing the massacre with a panel on his HBO show, “Real Time with Bill Maher,” that included Daily Caller senior contributor Matt Lewis.

“We can never know why someone snaps, but I bet you I know where he got his news,” Maher said, referring to Roof, who killed nine people in the attack on Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal church.

“I looked at your website the last week,” Maher continued, referring to The Daily Caller. “There were a lot of stories about black people. A lot of stories.”

Hispanic Media Bias Even Worse Than That Of English Language Media--Conservatives Are Called 'Radical'

In one of the most interesting exchanges leading up to the 2012 presidential election, an anchor made a name for himself by challenging President Barack Obama to defend his record on immigration. At the height of the tense exchange, the anchor pressed the president to explain why he hadn’t fulfilled his promise to enact comprehensive immigration reform: “You promised that….And a promise is a promise….And with all due respect, you did not keep that promise.”


That was Jorge Ramos, the anchor for Univision’s nightly news broadcast. And although he may not be as well-known as other television personalities, Matt Drudge of the influential Drudge Report recently described Ramos in a tweet like this: “Jorge Ramos—the last journalist standing. Warning to politicians: If you see him…RUN!”

"Media Wrongly Attack Drudge After He Admits Paying Obamacare Penalty" --Wrong guy to wrong.

Left leaning media outlets criticized Internet news mogul Matt Drudge’s tweets on Friday, but the backlash stemmed from a misunderstanding of how Obamacare will affect small businesses.

On Friday, Matt Drudge tweeted, “Just paid the Obamacare penalty for not ‘getting covered’… I’M CALLING IT A LIBERTY TAX!”

A few minutes later, Jason Lee, the Director of Progressive Media at the White House, tweeted a response, saying Mr. Drudge’s tweet was a, “flat lie, no fee for previous year. Scary how much influence he once had.”
From there, the tweets came rolling in, attacking Mr. Drudge via social media and liberal news outlets, Breitbart reported.


“Dude, there’s no penalty until next yr,” Sahil Kapur of Talking Points Memo tweeted, followed with a full story in the news outlet with a headline saying Mr. Drudge was “probably lying.”
