By Weekly Standard, Dec. 15, 2017

On May 23, the Wisconsin Department of Justice (WisDOJ) received a call from the state’s ethics board. An employee rummaging around in the basement of the building had found a filing cabinet full of material from the now-defunct “John Doe” investigations into the state’s Republican governor, Scott Walker, and his supporters.

WisDOJ was investigating the illegal 2016 leak to the Guardian of confidential details from the investigations, and in January, it had ordered that all John Doe records be turned over immediately. Yet this unexpected trove appeared four months later. The new evidence included three...

Walker: Tells Undocumented Worker That Immigrants Must Follow The Law

By  Jenna Johnson, July 19, 2015 Washington Post

LAINFIELD, Iowa — As presidential hopeful Scott Walker toured a farm in this tiny town where he lived as a child, he was confronted by an undocumented worker from Mexico who is living in Wisconsin and demanded to know why Walker does not support President Obama's plan to give temporary status to some undocumented workers, including parents of children who were born in the United States.

"We're a nation of laws," Walker, the Republican governor of Wisconsin, repeatedly told Jose Flores, 38, who was joined by two of his four children, Luis, 7, and Leslie, 13, who had tears rolling down her cheeks throughout the exchange. Flores, who lives in Waukesha and works for a medical supply factory, said he and his wife live in fear of being deported and separated from their children, who he said were all born in the United States.

"My point," Walker said, "is that you have to follow the law, follow the process."

Bernie Sanders Draws Nearly 10,000 Supporters In Wisconsin

By Dan Merica, Jul. 2, 2015, CNN

Madison, Wisconsin (CNN) Bernie Sanders has been running for president for two months, but Wednesday night in Madison, Wisconsin, his long-shot campaign got real.

When Sanders walked on stage at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum, he was greeted by a raucous, howling crowd of 9,600 people, according to Sanders' campaign aides and arena staff.

A clearly energized Sanders, who late last year was speaking to crowds of 50 people in Iowa classrooms, appeared taken aback by the reception he received.

"Whoa," he said. "In case you haven't noticed, there are a lot of people here."

Demonstrators Protest Police Shooting Of Bi-Racial Man In Wisconsin Capital

By Dana Ferguson and Todd Richmond, May 13, 2015, News.Yahoo.com

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Protesters angry about a prosecutor's decision not to charge a white Madison police officer for killing an unarmed biracial man staged a mock hearing outside of a courthouse Wednesday to get the result they had wanted — a trial — even if it was all symbolic.

After a peaceful procession from the apartment house where Officer Matt Kenny killed 19-year-old Tony Robinson on March 6 through the streets of the state capital to the Dane County Courthouse, some 150 to 200 protesters looked on as others laid out the case for why Kenny should stand trial.

"Was Tony Robinson murdered and should Matt Kenny be charged with homicide?" Alix Shabazz, one of the event's organizers, shouted to her fellow protesters.

The crowd gave its rousing approval.

Madison Mayor Paul Soglin had warned that anyone who broke the law would be arrested. At the end of the event, police arrested some two dozen protesters who locked arms and blocked an intersection near the courthouse. As the police were detaining those protesters, onlookers hurled insults at the officers, including racial epithets.

Wisconsin Governor Election Results Show Scott Walker Winning Over Mary Burke

By The Huffington Post, Nov. 4, 2014

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) won re-election after a close race in which Democrats were holding out hope that they would be able to knock off a potential 2016 presidential contender.

Mary Burke, a businesswoman and political novice, surprised many observers when polls showed that she was running neck and neck with Walker up until the end. Democrats hammered the governor on his record on job creation, women's rights and a lingering ethics scandal, while Republicans accused Burke of outsourcing jobs and tried to tie her to national Democrats and President Barack Obama.

Walker has slipped out of Democrats' grasp in the past, surviving a recall election in 2012. First elected in the tea party wave in 2010, he has been high on Democrats' most-wanted list since he went after union rights in 2011. His efforts polarized the state and infuriated labor activists, making him a rising star for the conservative movement.

Wisconsin Mail Carrier Probed After Allegedly Dumping GOP Mailers

M.D. Kittle, Nov. 2, 2014, Fox News

Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night may keep postal carriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds. But partisan politics, now that may be another matter altogether.

An investigation has been launched into a Neenah, Wisconsin postal carrier who allegedly dumped into a recycling bin hundreds of political advertisement mailers from the campaign of Mike Rorhkaste, Republican candidate for Wisconsin’s 55th Assembly District, Rorhkaste tells Wisconsin Reporter.

Why Is The Milwaukee Jewish Federation Objecting To A High School Sukkah?

Nicolet High School in Glendale, Wisconsin.
(Wikipedia)
By Yair Rosenberg, Oct. 15, 2014, Tablemag.com

During the week-long festival of Sukkot, which is currently being celebrated by Jews around the world, observant Jews are required to eat all of their meals in the Sukkah–the temporary hut from which the holiday takes its name. This can pose problems in professional and educational settings where a Sukkah is not readily available, forcing Jews to choose between having lunch or observing their religion. Thankfully, in recent years, businesses and schools have become sensitive to this concern, and Sukkot can now be found everywhere from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to Google headquarters across the globe.

But one place you won’t find a Sukkah, reports the Milwaukee-Wisconsin Journal Sentinel, is at Nicolet High School in Wisconsin, despite the fact that Jewish students built one there last year without a problem. The reason? The Milwaukee Jewish Federation objected to the hut as a violation of the “separation of church and state,” and forced it to move off campus.

This stance by the federation, backed by some students and vehemently opposed by others, raises some unsettling questions. If a Muslim pupil sought space in school for his private daily prayers, would the federation advocate against it? If a Jew sought kosher food from the school meal plan–which her family funds with their taxes–would the federation denounce her? If not, why then is the federation acting to prevent observant students from being able to eat meals at school over the holiday of Sukkot?

Rep. Brett Husley

By Matthew DeFour, May 1, 2014, Wisconsin State Journal

Rep. Brett Hulsey, D-Madison, said Thursday he plans to hand out Ku Klux Klan hoods at the state Republican convention this weekend.

Hulsey, a Democratic gubernatorial candidate whose bizarre antics have been on display for years, called the hoods — which are generally regarded as a racist symbol akin to a Nazi swastika — "Republican Party hats."

Asked whether handing out the hoods would be viewed as offensive, Hulsey said, "What I find offensive is Gov. Walker and the Republicans' racist record. They’re the ones considering the resolution to leave the United States."

Democratic Party officials swiftly denounced Hulsey's idea.

"We take serious issue with the policies pursued by Republicans that disproportionately affect communities of color, but this type of behavior has no place in the public dialogue," Democratic Party Chairman Mike Tate said.

State GOP executive director Joe Fadness said: "If true, Brett Hulsey's actions amount to nothing more than a reprehensible, vile stunt and everyone should be outraged."

Hulsey, who posted on Twitter a photograph of the kind of hood he plans to distribute, said he takes issue with Republicans discontinuing record-keeping on racial profiling by police agencies, scaling back the income eligibility limits for Medicaid and making changes to voting policies that critics say could suppress minority turnout.

Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr.
By Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr., Mar. 24, 2014, Washingtontimes.com

The latest attempt by liberals to help black people is underway in our K-12 urban public schools.

These do-gooders are now defining down socially acceptable behavior for black students in school. Bad behavior is being excused and attempts to hold black kids accountable by enforcing codes of conduct are called racist.

Having a sense of discipline has always been considered a virtue, a redeeming quality, but now its roots are claimed to lie in racism.

White liberal elites have chimed in about school codes of conduct.

The Capital Times newspaper of Madison, Wis., recently chronicled bad behavior by black students in its public schools. In the story, Secretary of Education Arne Duncan said that racial discrimination in school discipline codes “is a real problem today.”

The white superintendent of the Madison public schools believes that “we need to address head-on our racial bias and the assumptions we make of students who are in the classroom.”

Really? Where I come from, bad behavior has always been unacceptable and is codified not by race but by societal norms to keep chaos from reigning.

These watered-down student codes of conduct sweeping across urban public school systems will not help black parents, kids or communities. Like every other display of liberal empathy, they will have a reverse effect, and it will not be positive.

All anti-social behavior and social pathology is normalized, and to disagree is racial stereotyping.

What these race provocateurs do not want to admit is the reason we are seeing more disruptive behavior in schools is because of poor and ineffective parenting, manifested by liberal policies.

There is a government program today for everything in the black community that used to be the responsibility of the individual, such as parenting. Because of this system, many parents have abdicated what is their most important responsibility and turned it over to the government.

Uncle Sam is now raising their kids.

We take kids out of the home with early childhood education programs, and the government feeds them breakfast, lunch and dinner, and provides after-school programs.

Who needs parents in the black community anymore?

It is a sad reality that more and more parents have turned over their duty to raise their kids to federal and state government programs.

As a result, large numbers of black kids arrive ill-prepared for a social setting such as a school. They simply do not enter a classroom in a state of readiness to learn.

These kids suffer from a lot of emotional baggage spawned by ineffective parenting, which is worsened by white bleeding-heart liberals who use these troubled kids for their liberal agenda. Social liberalism is a sadistic ideology.

White liberal social policies have become the new racism in America.

According to liberal orthodoxy, no one is accountable anymore — except for conservatives, of course. Conservatives get blamed for all the failed liberal initiatives that were designed to help black folks.

Notice how Republican Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin received the dreaded R-word clubbing by the left when he pointed out in his 50-year review report how the failed anti-poverty initiatives started by liberals to help blacks have instead made their lives worse.

Every attempt liberals have made to help black people, with their reliance on government-centered public-policy ideas, has worsened their lot in life.
