Oklahoma Beheader Linked To Al Qaeda Leader Awlaki, Boston Bomber's Mosque

Alton Alexander Nolen
By Jordan Schachtel, Sept. 27, 2014, Breitbart.com

Suhaib Webb, an Imam with ties to former Al Qaeda mastermind Anwar al-Awlaki, had also previously been the leader of the Islamic Society of Greater Oklahoma City, which had been attended by Alton Nolen -- the man who on Thursday beheaded a former coworker after recently converting to Islam, Breitbart News has learned. Webb now serves as Imam of the sister organization of the mosque attended by Boston Marathon bombers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev.

Imam Suhaib Webb has a history of ties to radicalism. FBI surveillance documents found that he was a known confidant of Al Qaeda mastermind Anwar al-Awlaki. Just two days before the September 11, 2001 attacks on America, Webb spoke at a fundraiser with Awlaki with hopes to raise funds for Atlanta-based H. Rap Brown, a man that shot and killed two police officers. The FBI documents also found that “Webb and Awlaki may be associated with the Muslim American Society,” which is a group described by the Investigative Project on Terrorism as being “founded as the United States Chapter of the Muslim Brotherhood.”

Nolen took a picture of himself (above) September 5th, just three weeks before he brutally murdered an innocent woman, standing in front of the gates of the Islamic Society of Greater Oklahoma City.

The caption read: “At The Masjid (Mosque)Today For Jumar 9/5/2014 & Peforming Wudu!!!”

Imam Webb’s bio from his new place of employment, the Islamic Society of Boston, states:

While pursuing his bachelors degree Imam Webb studied privately with a renowned Muslim Scholar of Senegalese descent. After intense private training in various Islamic sciences, Imam Webb was hired as the Imam at the Islamic Society of Greater Oklahoma City, where he not only provided Khutbas (Sermons) and religious classes but also counseled families and young people.

Beheading Suspect Was Recently Fired, Oklahoma Police Say

By Evan Perez, Pamela Brown and Shelby Lin Erdman, Sept. 26, 2014, Cnn.com

(CNN) -- A man suspected of beheading a woman and stabbing another worker at an Oklahoma food processing plant had recently been fired, police said Friday.

Alton Alexander Nolen, 30, was terminated from his job at Vaughan Foods processing plant just before the rampage Thursday afternoon in Moore, Oklahoma, said Sgt. Jeremy Lewis of the Moore Police Department.

After "he was terminated, he drove to the front of the business, running into a vehicle, exited his vehicle, entered the business, where he encountered the first victim, Colleen Hufford, 54, and began assaulting her with a knife. He did kill Colleen and he did sever her head."

Nolen recently had been trying to convert co-workers to Islam, Lewis added during a Friday press conference. "After conducting interviews with co-workers of Nolen's, information was obtained that he recently started trying to convert some of his coworkers to the Muslim religion."

Moore police have asked the FBI to help investigate the man's background.

"Due to the manner of death and the statement of co-workers and other initial information that investigators have gathered, we requested the assistance of the FBI in conducting a background investigation into Nolen."

Earlier Friday, U.S. law enforcement officials said there were no indication the attack was linked to terrorism.

And Lewis agreed.

Deranged mass-murderer, Elliot Rodger
By Doug Giles, Jun. 1, 2014, Townhall.com

In the event that there are more Elliot Rodgers out there that are ready to snap because girls way out of your league won’t respond to your creepy advances; and yet, you’re not completely sold on the murder/suicide option: herewith are eight surefire points to move you back to SaneTown, attract a girl worth loving and officially assimilate out of Wussville and into the rarified air of a combobulated man.

1. Drop the “poor you” crap, especially, if you live in the lap of luxury. Chicks don’t want some puss-n-boots who whines about going over molehills in the Garden of Eden. Play the man if you truly wish to draw the attention of a girl who’s worth her salt. And definitely don’t do videos where you bray to the masses that you’re an unhinged, pitiful ass.

2. Get a vision. Visionaries who want to slay a dragon, save a nation and right a wrong are attractive. Solipsistic me-monkeys are repugnant to people of note. God didn’t call you to be a navel gazer. Go out into the desert and get aligned with your eternal purpose and if for some reason your antenna isn’t picking up on God’s higher calling for you, there’s plenty of things currently bigger than your dipstick life to get involved with that’ll help God and country. Get lost in them and, even if you look like Napoleon Dynamite, your passion will make you a chick magnet.

3. If you really want a girlfriend, then don’t go to Katy Perry concerts unless you’re gay; and if you are gay, then quit bitching about girls not liking you.

4. Sell your Beemer and give the proceeds to a wounded vet that’s currently getting no care from the VA of Obamaland. Be self-sacrificial. It’s the Jesus way. And who knows … maybe your altruistic spirit of giving will land you on TV and boom … instant chicks!

5. Instead of pining like a charter member of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely-Hearts Club Band, use that time to read books and start with the Classics. Girls like leaders and leaders are readers.

6. Spend time with God. Get your identity from Him not culture and certainly not from a chick that roams the Hollywood hills.

7. Embrace rejection and pain. That stuff Elliot squealed about on his video screeds is par for the course for awkward, male teens and twenty-somethings. I was constantly rejected until I pulled my head out of my backside … last year. Rejection and pain is the way of life, hombre. That’s why God created beer.

8. Don’t wish you were someone else. I wasted a lot of time during my early years always wanting to be someone else, and thank God those wishes didn’t come true. With the advent of Facebook I’ve seen how some of those clowns that I looked up to/wanted to be back in high school turned out. Holy crikey, they’re train wrecks. Also, a lot of the girls that I thought I couldn’t live without back in the day morphed into sea-cows. Thank God my prayers weren’t answered back then, eh?

Look, getting rebuffed by hot chicks is the standard for young dorks. It’s the way of the jungle, hoss. Get used to it and get busy bettering yourself and the planet and do us all a favor and shut the heck up.

Finally, please understand that a good dad trains his daughters to avoid lunks like Elliot. We do not teach our daughters to be rude, but we do teach our girls to cudgel off narcissistic crotch rockets and let them know, in no uncertain way, that they aren’t interested in your shallow life if you’re insistent on being a toad.

Dr. Charles Sophy
By Gary Baum, May 27, 2014, Hollywoodreporter.com

High-profile and controversial Beverly Hills psychiatrist Dr. Charles Sophy was treating Santa Barbara shooter Elliot Rodger during a key period within the year leading up to the May 23 massacre that resulted in seven deaths (including his own), as well as 13 injuries -- according to Rodger's own 137-page manifesto.

Sophy, a prominent Southern California physician who has served as the medical director of the County of Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services for more than a decade, has in the past been criticized for continuing with his busy role at the troubled mental health agency (where systemic breakdowns contributed to deaths) while maintaining a lucrative private practice and frequent media appearances. His client list is said to have included Paris Hilton, former Spice Girl Mel B and the late Russell Armstrong (whose suicide after battering wife Taylor was central to an early season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills). At the same time, he has provided on-air expertise on programs ranging from Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew to Flipping Out.

Sophy, one of a number of therapists Rodger met with over the years, did not respond to a request for comment about his care for the 22-year-old, who grew up in the celebrity-studded suburb of Calabasas to parents involved in the film industry. (Father Peter Rodger was an assistant director on the first Hunger Games film, while mother Li Chin, an on-set nurse, once dated George Lucas.)

Elliot Rodger
By Susan HeaveyEllen Wulfhorst; Editing by Sofina Mirza-Reid, May 29, 2014, Reuters.com

(Reuters) - The parents of Elliot Rodger, the gunman who killed six college students in a rampage in southern California, are suffering "hell on earth" knowing their son caused such a tragedy, they said in a statement on Thursday.

Rodger's family members are mourning the victims of Friday's mass shooting more than they are mourning their son, said family friend and spokesman Simon Astaire reading the statement on NBC's "Today" show.

“We are crying in pain for the victims and their families. It breaks our hearts on a level that we didn’t think possible," said the statement he read by Chin Rodger and Peter Rodger, who is a Hollywood film director.

"The feeling of knowing that it was our son’s actions that caused the tragedy can only be described as hell on earth,” they said.

Six students at the University of California at Santa Barbara and the 22-year-old killer died in the stabbing and shooting spree in the seaside community of Isla Vista. Thirteen other people were wounded.

Astaire added that the couple, who are divorced, have "diminished" since their son's killing spree.

"They have gone down in size. They’re virtually unrecognizable," he said.

The parents have not read their son’s manifesto, in which he laid out his plans to exact revenge for being rejected by women, he said. Rodger emailed his deadly plans to several people before he drove through the streets of Isla Vista and gunned people down.

“It's an awful piece of writing. They’re going through absolutely enough at the moment," Astaire said. "They are mourning the victims more than they are mourning their son."

Chin Rodger received a telephone call form her son's therapist about the manifesto on Friday night, and the two parents raced separately to Isla Vista, Astaire has said. The mother heard radio reports about the shootings as she drove, he said.

Veronika Weiss
By Francesca Trianni, May 27, 2014, Time.com

Bob Weiss says his daughter was exactly the kind of person who would want to help kids "who weren't the popular" ones, like the shooter

As the University of California, Santa Barbara holds a day of mourning and reflection Tuesday for the six victims killed in a murderous rampage last week, one of the parents of the students killed recounts how he found out about his daughter’s death.

Bob Weiss, whose 19-year-old daughter, Veronika, was killed outsidethe Alpha Phi sorority house near the university’s campus, said that he and his wife raced to the university when they didn’t receive a phone call from their daughter, who would frequently check in with the close-knit family.

While waiting from word from officials, he tracked Veronika’s cell phone online, and realized that it was still on.

“We got on her iPhone and located it in the middle of the crime scene,” Weiss told CNN.

By Benjamin Fearnow, May 27, 2014, Washington.cbslocal.com

WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — Film director Judd Apatow and actor Seth Rogen both blasted Washington Post film critic Ann Hornaday’s op-ed in which she suggests that Elliot Rodger’s mass killing in Isla Vista, Calif., is tied to white men in Hollywood promoting “escapist fantasies” that “revolve around vigilantism and sexual wish-fulfillment.”

Hornaday argued throughout the Sunday op-ed that the California killer’s rampage and YouTube videos expressing his “loneliness” and “rejection” resemble movies made in a Hollywood culture that inflates misogynistic delusions – as channeled through “male studio executives.”

She also mentioned Rogen’s movie “Neighbors” and Apatow by name in the piece.

Drones Being Used By Real Estate Companies To Sell High-Priced Homes

“As Rodger bemoaned his life of ‘loneliness, rejection and unfulfilled desire’ and arrogantly announced that he would now prove his own status as ‘the true alpha male,’ he unwittingly expressed the toxic double helix of insecurity and entitlement that comprises Hollywood’s DNA,” writes Hornaday.

“For generations, mass entertainment has been overwhelmingly controlled by white men, whose escapist fantasies so often revolve around vigilantism and sexual wish-fulfillment (often, if not always, featuring a steady through-line of casual misogyny),” continues Hornaday.

Hornaday then took shots directly at Apatow and Rogen:

“How many students watch outsized frat-boy fantasies like ‘Neighbors’ and feel, as Rodger did, unjustly shut out of college life that should be full of ‘sex and fun and pleasure?’ How many men, raised on a steady diet of Judd Apatow comedies in which the shlubby arrested adolescent always gets the girl, find that those happy endings constantly elude them and conclude, ‘It’s not fair?’”

By David Weigel, May 27, 2014, Slate.com

The Santa Barbara rampage fell into the familiar culture-war pattern at its most heartbreaking moment. Richard Martinez, a father whose son was killed in a selfie-addicted narcissist's botched "day of retribution," gave a short press statement that turned into a condemnation of the NRA.

"Chris died because of craven, irresponsible politicians and the NRA," said Martinez. "They talk about gun rights? What about Chris' right to live?"

This was a "painful truth," according to Adam Gopnik, speaking for millions of people like Martinez. (In 2012, Californians who'd graduated from college voted 60–40 for Obama over Romney.) The NRA, having been called out personally in nationally televised notes, called its usual opossum play—it went silent, ceasing tweets for the weekend and not dignifying Martinez with a response.

But we know how this is going to play out, don't we? Here are the arguments you'll hear that explain why (bless him) Martinez was wrong, and as ever the best way of preventing massacres is getting more guns in the hands of good guys.

1. The Santa Barbara killer* allegedly committed three murders with a knife. Alex Jones is very good at capturing the pro-gun zeitgeist in moments like this, and he quickly recorded a video response to the killings, asking why the media wasn't covering the use of knives as well as guns. (The media was doing that, but whatever.) "Are we all going to turn our knives and say we're all guilty for what this apparent spoiled brat did?" asked Jones. "It's not about guns, it's not about knives. It's about bad people."

2. Shooting sprees only happen in gun-free zones! This sentiment was expressed crudely and quickly on Twitter, as freelance personal defense enthusiasts asked whether better-armed civilians could have shut this killer down. California has some of the most restrictive gun laws in the country (comparable to those in Chicago, another conservative case study of a Second Amendment-free dystopia); the myth that "gun-free zones" attract killers is basically immune to data. …

Why don’t media call the Isla Vista killing spree a “hate crime”?

Elliot Rodger’s dad is white, his mother Chinese. Rodger felt “fully-white” people -- especially male and female blondes -- looked down on him. This is from his 140-page “manifesto”:

“When I became aware of this common social structure at my school, I also started to examine myself and compare myself to these ‘cool kids.’

“I realized, with some horror, that I wasn’t ‘cool’ at all. I had a dorky hairstyle, I wore plain and uncool clothing, and I was shy and unpopular. On top of this was the feeling that I was different because I am of mixed race. I am half white, half Asian, and this made me different from the normal fully-white kids that I was trying to fit in with.

“I envied the cool kids, and I wanted to be one of them. I had to make every effort to rectify this. I had to adapt. My first act was to ask my parents to allow me to bleach my hair blonde. I always envied and admired blonde-haired people, they always seemed so much more beautiful.”

How badly did he want to be white? At the age of 8, he talked his parents into letting him dye his hair blonde. Even the hair stylist thought him too young. From Rodger’s manifesto:

“My parents agreed to let me do it, and Father took me to a hair salon on Mulholland Drive in Woodland Hills. Choosing that hair salon was a bad decision, for they only bleached the top of my head blonde. When I indignantly questioned why they didn’t make all of my hair blonde, they said that I was too young for a full bleaching. I was furious. I thought I looked so silly with blonde hair at the top of my head and black hair at the sides and back. I dreaded going to school the next day with this weird new hair.”

Two years later, Rodger’s tried to dye his hair again. This time, success:

“I was eager to re-bleach my hair to a fully blonde color, after the disastrous failure of my previous attempt. This time, [my stepmother] Soumaya took me to the right salon, and they gave me a short haircut and bleached all of my hair blonde. When I looked at myself in the mirrior [sic], I felt an intense level of satisfaction.”

According to the Southern Poverty Law Center, Rodger had a history of racist postings on a misogynist hate site called PuaHate, a place for men who dislike “pick-up artists” and consider them manipulative hucksters who score attractive women over more deserving people like Rodger. Last January, Rodger posted this:

“Today I drove through the area near my college and saw some things that were extremely rage-inducing.

“I passed by this restaurant and I saw this black guy chilling with 4 hot white girls. He didn’t even look good.

“Then later on in the day I was shopping at Trader Joe’s and saw an Indian guy with 2 above average White Girls!!!

“What rage-inducing sights did you guys see today? Don’t you just hate seeing these things when you go out? It just makes you want to quit life.”

Elliot Rodger’s background, history and racial composition distort the typical media storyline: Another sick, untreated white killer who illegally acquired fully-automatic “assault weapons.” But Rodger was mixed white and Chinese, and raised in a life of privilege. He bought his firearms legally, and did not use a long-arm weapon, let alone an AR-15. He killed three by knife. He had been in touch with health-care professionals and apparently no one suggested involuntary psychiatric commitment on the grounds that Rodger was a danger to himself or others.

We will learn more about Rodger. But blaming the NRA or “craven politicians” won’t stop bad guys -- in this case one filled with racial hatred -- from doing bad things. The old line still rings true: the best and fastest way to stop a bad guy with a gun is with a good guy with a gun.

According to the hate-tracking Southern Poverty Law Center, alleged Santa Barbara shooter Elliott Rodger had a history of posting misogynist and racist comments on anti-woman website PuaHate.com.

The family of Elliott Rodger told authorities that they believe that it was their son who went on a rampage that left six dead and eleven injured in the Santa Barbara community of Isla Vista.

(UPDATE): According to KCOY, three more more bodies were seen being removed from Rodger’s apartment by Santa Barbara forensics experts this afternoon.

PuaHate, ostensibly a website dedicated to criticizing pickup artists (PUA) and seduction experts who take money from men for tips on dating and getting sex, is known for its commenter’s misogynist remarks and objectification of women.

According to the SPLC, Rodger posted comments in January, beginning with “Saw a black guy sitting with 4 white girls,” causing him to admit his frustration over white women socializing with minority men:

"Today I drove through the area near my college and saw some things that were extremely rage-inducing.
I passed by this restaurant and I saw this black guy chilling with 4 hot white girls. He didn’t even look good.
Then later on in the day I was shopping at Trader Joe’s and saw an Indian guy with 2 above average White Girls!!!
What rage-inducing sights did you guys see today? Don’t you just hate seeing these things when you go out? It just makes you want to quit life."
After being called out on the website for the racism in his comments, Rodger responded, “Here we are suffering on PuaHate when these lesser, undeserving men that I saw today are walking around with hot girls. It doesn’t make sense.”

Rodger also wrote that Asian men could never date white women, leading a commenter of Asian descent to post a picture of himself with a white woman.

Joe "The Plumber" Wurzelbacher
By Joe “The Plumber” Wurzelbacher, May 27, 2014, via Barbwire.com

I’m not talking here about the three tragic murders Rodger committed by stabbing before his driving and shooting spree; I speak now only to the families of the gunshot victims in Santa Barbara:

It’s a tragedy.

I am sorry you lost your child. I myself have a son and daughter and the one thing I never want to go through, is what you are going through now. But:

As harsh as this sounds – your dead kids don’t trump my Constitutional rights.

Richard Martinez, whose son (Christopher) was among the murdered, choked back tears at a news conference, blaming politicians the next day: “The talk about gun rights. What about Chris’ right to live?” Martinez said – and much more.

There are no critical words for a grieving father. He can say whatever he wants and blame whoever he’d like – it’s okay by me. You can’t take a step in his shoes – at least I can’t.

But the words and images of Mr. Martinez blaming “the proliferation of guns”, lobbyists, politicians, etc.; will be exploited by gun-grab extremists as are all tragedies involving gun violence and the mentally ill by the anti-Second Amendment Left.

As a father, husband and a man, it is my responsibility to protect my family. I will stand up for that right vehemently. Please believe me, as a father I share your grief and I will pray for you and your family, as I do whenever I hear about senseless tragedies such as this.

We still have the Right to Bear Arms and I intend to continue to speak out for that right, and against those who would restrict it – even in the face of this horrible incident by this sad and insane individual. I almost said “Obama Voter” but I’m waiting for it to be official.

I noticed the mainstream media have stopped the practice of immediately reporting the psycho maniac is a conservative Tea Party Republican Christian. Guess they’re sick of having to hide being wrong every time when it comes out the whacko votes Democrat?

Mr. Martinez and anyone calling for more restrictions on American’s rights need to back off and stop playing into the hands of the folks who merely capitalize on these horrific events for their own political ends.

They don’t care about your family or your dead children at all. They sound like they do, whereas I sound uncaring and like I say, harsh. Don’t be fooled – I care about your family and mine. The future of our very liberty lies in the balance of this fight.

In conclusion, I cannot begin to imagine the pain you are going through, having had your child taken away from you. However, any feelings you have toward my rights being taken away from me, lose those.

Sincerely;

Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher

PS: To the parents of Elliot Rodger’s stabbing victims: I’m very sorry for your loss. I’m sick to death every damn time I turn around and some poor soul with obvious violent mental sickness is allowed to exact this kind of pain on a family.

Elliot Rodger deserved help, yes – but your child deserved so much more. I’m very sorry and sad for you.

Joe “The Plumber” Wurzelbacher crashed on the scene in 2008 when a chance run-in with then candidate Barack Obama allowed Joe to confront the soon-to-be president on his tax-and-spend Socialist philosophy. Joe is founder of JoeForAmerica.com.

On May 24 Breitbart News reported that Peter Rodger--father of Santa Barbara attacker Elliot Rodger--released a statement through his attorney supporting gun control.

Now Jenni Rodger, aunt of Santa Barbara attacker Elliot Rodger, has added her voice to the politicization of Elliot's heinous crimes.

According to The Independent, Jenni Rodger spoke from France, where she expressed condolences to the victim's families then began criticizing U.S. gun laws: "I can't imagine how awful this must be for the families of those killed. My heart goes out to them. I don't know how on earth a sick, disturbed young man was able to get hold of a gun."

She said her nephew was "always a disturbed child" and "something has to be done about gun laws in America."

Three of Elliot Rodger's victims were killed with knives, not guns.

On May 24, the family of Santa Barbara shooting suspect Elliot Rodger released a statement through their attorney saying they are "against guns" and support gun control.

On May 23, their son allegedly shot and killed 7 people, including himself, and wounded 7 others. Breitbart News reported his motive was "retribution" for women who had rejected his advances.

Elliot was the son of Peter Rodger, one of the assistant directors of Hollywood's The Hunger Games.

According to the Post and Courier, attorney Alan Shifman spoke on behalf of the family, saying: "My client's mission in life will be to try to prevent any such tragedies from happening again. This country, this world, needs to address mental illness and the ramifications from not recognizing these illnesses."

Shifman also said the Rodger family is "staunchly against guns" and "supports gun-control laws."

MURRYSVILLE (KDKA/AP) – At least 20-people have been injured in a stabbing at Franklin Regional High School in Murrysville.  The attack occurred in crowded hallways just minutes before the start of school.

At least five students were critically wounded, including a boy who was on a ventilator after a knife pierced his liver, missing his heart and aorta by only millimeters, doctors said. An injured school officer was discharged.  A school security guard called in the stabbing at 7:13 a.m.  Witnesses said the boy with the knives at first tackled a freshman and stabbed him in the belly, then got up and ran wildly down the hall, slashing other students.

Nate Moore, 15, said he saw the first attack and was going to try to break it up when the boy got up and slashed his face, requiring 11 stitches.  “It was really fast. It felt like he hit me with a wet rag because I felt the blood splash on my face. It spurted up on my forehead,” he said.
The attacker “had the same expression on his face that he has every day, which was the freakiest part,” Moore said. “He wasn’t saying anything. He didn’t have any anger on his face. It was just a blank expression.”
