MORE THAN 347,000 CONVICTED CRIMINAL IMMIGRANTS AT LARGE IN U.S.

According to a March 2, 2015 “ICE Weekly Departures and Detention Report” obtained by Center for Immigration Studies expert Jessica Vaughan and shared with Breitbart News, there were 168,680 convicted criminal immigrants who had final orders of removal but who remained at large in the U.S.

Another 179,018 convicted criminal immigrants with deportation cases pending also remained at large.

While the vast majority were not in custody some were detained — namely 6,220 criminal immigrants facing final deportation orders and another 7,680 convicted criminal immigrants with immigration cases pending.

In recent years there has been a focus on the number of annual criminal immigrant releases.

In his 2011 bestselling book, Time to Get Tough, Trump held both Republicans and Democrats responsible for the nation’s failed immigration policies and cited Government Accountability Office (GAO) data revealing the economic costs the nation’s 351,000 criminal aliens imposed on U.S. taxpayers at the time.

“Both sides need to grow up and put America’s interests first—and that means doing what’s right for our economy, our national security, and our public safety,” wrote Trump. “According to a Government Accountability Office (GAO) 2011 report, America’s prisons house 351,000 criminal aliens who committed a crime after having already broken the law by entering America illegally.”

ICYMI: African-Americans Commit Disproportionate Share of Hate Crimes

Whites are 63 percent of the population, but commit 56 percent of the hate crimes.

Blacks are 13 percent of the population but commit 23 percent of the hate crimes.

Furthermore since the FBI statistics don't appear to separately categorize Latinos, it's likely that the "white" statistics actually includes Latinos. This is an ongoing problem with the FBI sometimes classifying Latinos by victim category, but not by perp category.

More significantly, when it comes to violent crimes, anti-white hate crimes tend to be more violent than anti-black hate crimes.

For example, the FBI lists an anti-white murder in 2012, but no anti-black murder. An anti-white rape, but no anti-black rapes.

The vast majority of anti-black hate crimes were classified as intimidation (635) and vandalism (674) with larger spikes in various forms of assault. It may be that anti-white hate crimes are unlikely to be classified and recorded unless they are particularly violent.

New Orleans Police: Man Suspected In Cop's Death Caught Boarding City Bus, Handcuffs Still On

NEW ORLEANS - After an intense 24-hour manhunt, New Orleans police Sunday arrested a man believed to have shot and killed a police officer while wearing handcuffs as he was being transported to jail.

Travis Boys, 33, was still wearing his broken handcuffs when a rookie officer and his trainer spotted him trying to board a city bus Sunday morning, said Police Superintendent Michael Harrison.

"To my understanding, he got on the bus after spotting the officers. And the officers saw that and then he got off the bus and then was apprehended," Harrison told reporters, while standing in front of a memorial to the city's fallen police officers.

But questions remain about where the gun used to kill Officer Daryle Holloway, 45, came from and how Boys hid from an intense law enforcement search.

Authorities took Boys to a hospital for treatment of apparent dehydration, Harrison said. Video by WVUE-TV showed Boys strapped onto a gurney and being put into an ambulance, his head slumped over.

He will be booked on charges of first-degree murder of a police officer, aggravated escape and illegal possession of a firearm, as well as the aggravated battery charge for which he was originally arrested on Friday night, Harrison said.
