These FBI and CDC Statistics Completely Destroy The Race Baiting, Police Bashing Narrative Out of Ferguson

Despite the fact that the grand jury in Ferguson weighed tons of evidence, including forensic evidence, heard countless testimony from eyewitnesses, many of whom are black, and decided that Officer Darren Wilson was indeed acting in self-defense when he shot Michael Brown, race hustlers like Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, the Congressional Black Caucus, and even Barack Obama himself have perpetuated the lie of massive police brutality towards blacks.

In fact, to listen to them speak, one would think that white police officers are using black males as target practice in the streets. They’ve just about said as much. Based upon their words, one would think that thousands, or even tens of thousands, of blacks are killed by white police officers unnecessarily.

And, don’t try to bring up the black on black crime and killings to these race hustlers. They will take the argument that it is irrelevant and some have even claimed that it is untrue.

They are liars, on both counts.

As the old saying goes, “you are entitled to your opinion, but you are not entitled to your own facts.” As Barack Obama would say, “Period.”

Crippling Children By Selling Them Racism By Larry Elder

The recent "rash" of police officers killing blacks is prompting "civil rights activists" to describe America -- despite the election and re-election of a black president -- as still a simmering caldron of racism. Never mind that according to the CDC, in 2012 (the most recent year with available data) 140 blacks were killed by cops -- versus 386 whites killed by cops.

This dreary movie scene comes from a film about inner-city black teens called "Menace II Society." A black high school teacher speaks to two former students: "Being a black man in America isn't easy. The hunt is on, and you're the prey! All I'm saying is ... all I'm saying is -- survive! Alright?" In case the identity of the alleged "hunter" is unclear, we hear a police siren in the background. Cops are out to get young black men.

Ridiculous.

But that gloomy narrative tracks closely with Attorney General Eric Holder's assertion that America suffers from "pernicious racism." And a few weeks after the George Zimmerman/Trayvon Martin shooting happened, the Rev. Jesse Jackson said, "Blacks are under attack."
Absurd.

In 1997, CNN and Time conducted a poll that asked white and black teens about "racism." Question: Is racism a major problem in America? Both black and white teens said, "yes." But when black teens were asked if racism is a "big problem," a "small problem" or "no a problem at all" -- in their own lives -- 89 percent called racism a "small problem" or "not a problem at all" for themselves.

In fact, 17 years ago, not only did black teens see racism as an insignificant problem in their own lives, but nearly twice as many black teens than white teens called "failure to take advantage of available opportunities" a bigger problem than racism.

What damage do "activists" inflict by convincing young black men that cops -- or, for that matter, Republicans, tea party members and black conservatives -- are out to get them? This emotion-based paranoia has real-world consequences. Fear and paranoia hurt potential and careers.

In the '60s, University of Pennsylvania professor Martin Seligman developed the theory of "learned helplessness" -- when a person learns to believe and act helpless when, in fact, they do have control over their own negative circumstances but fail to exercise it. He then devoted most of his studies to "positive psychology" and the effect of happiness and optimism in people's lives. He produced an equation, H=S+C+V, where a person's genetic capacity for happiness (S), plus their circumstances (C) and factors under their voluntary control (V) equal their happiness (H).

His extensive research discovered that a low "C" -- adverse circumstances like poor health or poverty -- matters very little if a person has a high "V," a positive, optimistic outlook and a belief in himself. For example, he found that an upbeat wheelchair-bound factory worker often leads a happier life than a robust, wealthy CEO.

Psychologists called this the "emotional quotient" factor, or EQ: a measurement of a person's ability to monitor his or her emotions, cope with pressures and demands, control his or her thoughts and actions, and one's ability to assess and affect situations and relationships with other people. Salesmen, for example, with "high EQ" for a strong positive outlook outsold those with higher traditional aptitude, but with lower EQ. High EQ people engage in positive behavior, which leads to positive results.

George Foreman, the former heavyweight boxing champion, is one of the most successful pitchmen of our generation. A spokesperson for products ranging from Meineke mufflers and Doritos to his own low-fat indoor grill, which earned him $138 million when he sold the grill's naming rights in 1999, Foreman has an estimated net worth of $250 million. A high school dropout, Foreman recently wrote this about the value of optimism:

"This life, this country, is about HOPE.

"My first two jobs were about selling: Four hours of putting out sale papers, on doors, cars and handed out. Then at a fruit stand. Texas watermelon season was the best. Competition was great -- we had to (as boys) have a variety of melons and a lot of charm.

"The ability to sell is about the best asset one can pass on to a generation to come. And the most critical and influential product anyone can deal or trade is 'Hope.'

"No matter who we lose, every young doctor is optimistic we will win this one. And many a time we do. Not a whole lot is new, just the same old Hope. ... When things go wrong in this life our sole obligation to our children is to sell them on Hope. Sure, beating our head against the wall is an option. But time and life must proceed. Anger and disappointment bring more dark clouds. Oh, but HOPE is the sunshine that every child needs for play. ...

Teach them Hope. And BELIEVE there is Hope.

"It's our duty."

White People Be Playing The Race Card By Larry Elder

I'm old enough to remember when only black people called black people "Uncle Tom." Democrats, however, long expanded the category of who can play the race card and on whom. Call them equal opportunity race-card players.

As with black race-card hustlers -- say the Revs. Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton or any given host on MSNB-Hee-Haw -- white race-card players label others “racist” for the crime of disagreement. As with black race-card hustlers, white race-card hustlers need not name names. And, as with black race-card hustlers, the mainscream media will not bother to ask the white race-card hustler to identify said racists.

Here are some recent examples:

Rep. Steve Israel, D-N.Y.: When asked if his Republican colleagues were racist, Israel responded, "Not all of them, no. Of course not. But to a significant extent, the Republican base does have elements that are animated by racism." “Not all” implies one or more are “animated by racism.” He never bothered to name names, let alone what “animated” the racist(s). The host did not ask.

Sen. Jay Rockefeller, D-W.Va.: The soon-to-retire senator says that given “the ease of the fact that I’m not running again,” he can now speak out about the number of Republicans who oppose Obama because of his race: "It's an American characteristic that you don't do anything which displeases the voters, because you always have to get reelected here. I understand part of it. It has to do with -- for some, it's just we don't want anything good to happen under this president, because he's the wrong color."

Former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist, D: He recently said that “a big reason” he switched parties was because of the way “some” people in his former party -- Republican -- treated Obama: “I couldn’t be consistent with myself and my core beliefs, and stay with a party that was so unfriendly toward the African-American president.”

Feminist attorney Gloria Allred, Democrat: After the election of George W. Bush, Colin Powell and Condi Rice were considered likely to join the new administration. Allred, on her radio show, referred to them (without using their names) as “Uncle Tom types.”

As you can see, Democratic Party blacks -- and whites -- can and do charge Republicans with hating children, gays, sick people and the elderly. But mostly, they say Republicans hate blacks -- except they don’t ID the haters.

The Republicans-hate-blacks narrative remains crucial to maintaining the monolithic 95 percent Democratic black vote, without which the Democratic Party cannot succeed. Economist Thomas Sowell writes, “If Republicans can get just a fourth or a fifth of the black vote nationwide, that can shift the balance of power decisively in their favor.” As recently as 1956, nearly 39 percent of blacks voted Republican in the presidential election.

Thus, Democrats must routinely characterize the Republican Party as "racist," no matter how vague, absurd or outlandish the charge. The Obama-loving/leftist media/academia/Hollywood crowd cannot brag during this off-year election cycle about economic growth. So look for more diversions like “income inequality,” climate change and the battle against the “racist” obstructionists across the aisle.

Sigh.

The next time a Democrat speaks darkly about these anonymous “racists,” ask this question: Don’t Israel and Rockefeller, currently in office, have a duty to “out” these racists? Why allow these bigots to remain in government? Doesn’t Crist, running as a Democrat for his old job, have a moral obligation to identify and help remove these elected racists? Aren’t these “racists” -- whose IDs are being protected -- detrimental to the interests of the nation and in violation of their oath to protect and defend the U.S. Constitution? Doesn’t the lawmakers’ oath mean protecting and defending the rights of all constituents irrespective of race -- and outing those who refuse to do so?

Why protect the racist(s)? Why conceal their identities? Out the SOBs!
