In Discussion About Bibi, Chris Matthews Attacks GOP For…Racism

Ken Shepherd, Oct. 29, 2014, NewsBusters

For the second night in a row, MSNBC's Chris Matthews gratuitously attacked Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus as someone who is almost singlemindedly devoted to disenfranchising black voters. Matthews made the remarks in the midst of a panel discussion about how Republicans like Priebus had glommed onto a report of a Obama administration official calling Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu "chickenshit" in order to make political hay of the controversy.

Clay Aiken
By Ken Shepherd, May 21, 2014, Newsbusters.org

As we at NewsBusters have documented, the liberal media have shown no lack of interest in the candidacy of American Idol runner-up turned Democratic politician Clay Aiken.

So it should be interesting to see the coverage, or lack thereof, for Mr. Aiken having tweeted a while back, "Anyone else watching @piersmorgan want to punch Ann Coulter in the face?" What's more, reports blogger Sooper Mexican, Aiken once all but urged fans to call Coulter a c**t. War on women, anyone?

First, Jessica Chasmar of the Washington Times with the Twitter story (emphases mine):

Democratic congressional candidate Clay Aiken has reportedly deleted a tweet in which he fantasized about punching conservative author Ann Coulter “in the face.”

“Anyone else watching @piersmorgan want to punch Ann Coulter in the face?” the former “American Idol” runner-up tweeted in October 2012, The Daily Caller reported.

One of the deleted tweets said: “Playing drinking game with my brother now. We drink every time we see a black person on screen at the RNC convention. #soberasamormon.”

And here's the offensive tweet that Sooper Mexican found involving the C-word:

USA Today's Richard Wolf and Fredreka Schouten wasted no time this morning distorting the Supreme Court's April 2 ruling in McCutcheon v. FEC, which essentially holds that a provision of federal law setting an aggregate limit on an individual's campaign contributions violates the First Amendment's guarantee of freedom of speech.
Wolf and Schouten, however, practically endorsed the lament of liberal detractors, opening their story with a loaded lead paragraph that had nothing to do with the merits of the case and followed up by weaving a narrative focused on the "bitter national debate" about campaign finance rather than strictly adhering to the constitutional merits of the Court's ruling.
