By Breitbart, Feb. 15, 2017

Depending on what took place, the alleged contacts with Iran may have violated the Logan Act, which bars citizens from negotiating with foreign governments in dispute with the United States. It may be questionable whether Hamas, which rules the Gaza Strip, legally qualifies as a foreign government.

In 2008, Robert Malley stepped down as an informal foreign policy adviser to Obama’s campaign when it was revealed that he met with Hamas members.

Iranian-Backed Hezbollah And Hamas Bolster Worldwide Terrorist Presence

By IPT News, Jul. 1, 2015, Investigative Project

While the West extends nuclear negotiations with Iran, the Islamic Republic continues to enhance its international terrorism infrastructure through its proxies. Hizballah has 950 active operatives in the Western European state while Hamas maintains 300 operatives, according to a German intelligence report summarized by the Jerusalem Post.

The number of Islamists in Germany rose from 43,190 in 2013 to 43,890 in 2014, the report said.

Radical Islamists are "the greatest danger to Germany...Germany is on the spectrum of goals for Islamic terrorists," said Hans-Georg Maassen, president of German's domestic intelligence agency – the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV).

The report's chapter on "Islamism and Islamic terrorism" reveals that "Hamas was successful" in organizing people beyond its main support base to participate in anti-Israel protests. There were "more Hamas- supporting events than peace demonstrations, and there was clearly public anti-Semitism" during last summer's war in Gaza.

Egyptian Court Bans Hamas' Armed Wing As Terrorist Organization

By Thomson/Reuters and Newsmax.com, Jan 31, 2015

CAIRO — An Egyptian court on Saturday banned the armed wing of Palestinian group Hamas and listed it as a terrorist organization, a ruling in keeping with a systematic crackdown on Islamists by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.

Sisi said on Saturday Egypt faces a tough, prolonged campaign against militancy. "(It) will be difficult, strong, evil and will take a long time," he said in comments broadcast on state television after meeting top military officers.

Hamas is an offshoot of Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood, which the authorities have also declared a terrorist group and repressed thoroughly since the army ousted one of its leaders, Mohamed Mursi, from the presidency in 2013.

"We reject the Egyptian court's decision against Qassam Brigades. It is a political, dangerous decision that serves only the Zionist occupation," Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri, referring to Israel's control over Palestinian territories.

The ruling came days after Egypt was hit with some of the bloodiest Islamist militant attacks on security forces in years.

"The court ruled to ban the (Hamas) Qassam Brigades and to list it as a terrorist group," said Judge Mohamed al-Sayid of the special Cairo court which deals with urgent cases.

The Third Intifada Is About The Post Two-State Future

Joel B. Pollak, Nov. 18, 2014, Breitbart

The two-state solution is, effectively, dead. It was mortally wounded long before today's terror attack on a Jerusalem synagogue, which marks a third intifada. The final straw came with the Gaza war this past summer, when Hamas rockets and tunnels showed why it would be insane to let Palestinians to rule more than a portion of the West Bank. The Obama administration's addiction to pressuring Israel has also destabilized diplomacy.

Evidence Emerging On Hamas War Crimes

By Larry Hart, Oct. 30, 2014, Examiner.com

Now that the fighting in Gaza has stopped, at least for the time being, certain bits of information are leaking out from some of the reporters who were embedded there. Much of the information shared pretty much confirms Israel’s claims about Hamas tactics and strategy which might lead to a possible war crimes indictment.

The use of human shields, propagandizing dead and injured innocent people, including children, giving false casualty figures, all with the proper intimidation of the press to insure Hamas’ version of events are now being corroborated and so, no longer can be ignored as Israeli propaganda.
.
Of the 700 journalists who reported from Gaza most, did it willingly, their left wing agendas considering Hamas the underdog against the big, bad, imperialist, capitalist, war mongering Israel. Thank God there is still some honor in the fifth estate. I was beginning to lose hope after reporting Creede Newton’s exploitation piece on three Israeli soldiers committing suicide after the war because of perceived Israeli excesses a few days ago.

Between thirty and forty reporters have now come forward so far, explaining what they really saw and could not report at the time because of repercussions, which included, but not exclusive to, being forced to leave, having their equipment confiscated, or even physical intimidation. There are probably more out there that would like to come forward but don’t because they are so seriously intimidated by Hamas pressure they don’t dare risk it.

Report: Hamas Rebuilding Gaza Terror Tunnels

By Jordan Schachtel, Oct. 20, 2014, Breitbart.com

The Gaza Strip-ruling terrorist group Hamas is reportedly rebuilding much of its tunnel network, which was used to transport weapons, murder innocents, and attempt kidnappings. Much of the tunnel network was believed to have been destroyed during the jihadi outfit’s recent 50-day war with Israel.

A report on a Hamas-affiliated website on Sunday, titled “Kassam’s Shovels Continue to Dig Tunnels After the War,” describes how Hamas terrorists are working like “beehives” to facilitate the express rebuilding of the tunnels. The site said that Hamas's motivation for finishing the laborious activity was to “see every inch they dig as a place where an Israeli soldier would be kidnapped or killed.”

A reporter from the Hamas media affiliate visited a tunnel site, where a digger told him, “We need every minute. We have a lot of work ahead of us that requires tremendous efforts and patience.” Another Hamas worker added, “Thank Allah for making us soldiers specializing in digging tunnels. True, this is hard work, but we keep in mind that we will be rewarded by Allah.”

During the 50-day war, which was coined Operation Protective Edge by the Israel Defense Force, Hamas operatives attempted to commit genocide upon a village near the Gaza border. The jihadis utilized its tunnel networks to dig underground and emerge within close proximity of Kibbutz Sufa, where according to former Israeli President Shimon Peres, the militants planned on slaughtering the entire civilian community.

Hamas: We're Building More Rockets

By Bob Unruh, Aug. 14, 2014, Wnd.com

The radical Muslims of Hamas in the Gaza Strip claim they have been building missiles to restock the cache they launched against Israel.

“Your defeatist leadership claimed to have destroyed our rocket capability,” said a member of the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, in remarks directed at Israel. “However, despite the aggression, our production continues – from the workshop to the battlefield.”

Hamas and Israel agreed to five more days of cease-fire just as a 72-hour truce wound down Wednesday night. The war began five weeks ago when Israel responded to the regular rocket attacks by Hamas on Israeli civilians.

The Hamas boasts were reported by Al-Aqsa TV, the Hamas channel, in a segment that aired Wednesday, according to the Middle East Media Research Institute.

MEMRI said that according to the narrator, “the surprises offered by the Al-Qassam Brigades” go far beyond the tunnels.

A member of the unit said: “Despite the aggression, production continues – from the workshops to the battlefield.”

Hamas spokesman Abu Obeida said Israel “threatens us with a ground offensive.”

“We say to him: You are threatening us with something we are anticipating, you son of a Jew?”

A reporter then explains, “When the Al-Qassam Brigades say something, they mean it.”

Obeida declared: “The enemy should know that we have already compensated for the equipment and ammunition we lost in the war.”

Israel-Hamas War Enters 2nd Month

Israeli air strike in Gaza
Source:  www.nehandaradio.com
By Joel Greenberg, Aug. 9, 2014, Mcclarchydc.com

JERUSALEM — The war between Israel and Hamas entered its second month on Saturday as Israel launched fresh air strikes in the Gaza Strip, killing at seven people, according to local reports, and militants fired rockets and mortar rounds at Israel.

The level of fighting, however, remained lower than in the weeks preceding a 72-hour ceasefire that expired Friday. Egyptian-mediated efforts to restore the ceasefire continued in Cairo, but there were no indications of a breakthrough toward halting the renewed hostilities.

Israeli police banned a planned anti-war rally Saturday night in Tel Aviv, citing the danger of rocket strikes from Gaza. Organizers called the move an attempt to stifle dissent.

Militants in Gaza resumed rocket attacks on Israel on Friday after refusing to extend the temporary ceasefire, stepping up pressure to meet their demands in negotiations on a durable truce. Israel responded with airstrikes, declaring that it would not negotiate under fire.

A delegation of Palestinian factions remained in Cairo for talks with Egyptian officials. Azzam al-Ahmad, the head of the delegation, said it would stay in Egypt until it reached an accord that "ensures" Palestinian rights. However an Israel team was not expected to return for further indirect talks Saturday night.

Dershowitz: Hamas 'Cheerleader' Jimmy Carter Has 'Blood On Hands' For Mideast Meddling

By Melissa Clyne, Aug. 7, 2014, Newsmax.com

Former President Jimmy Carter is "an all-out supporter of Hamas" and if his advocacy turns into material support he will be committing a crime, Harvard law professor and legal analyst Alan Dershowitz said on Newsmax TV's "America's Forum" Thursday.

"Jimmy Carter has now become an all-out cheerleader for Hamas," Dershowitz said.

"Jimmy Carter wants the United States and the European community to recognize Hamas, to legitimate it. It's against the law in the United States, even if you're a former president, it's against the law to provide material support to a listed terrorist organization and Jimmy Carter's coming awfully close to that line."

60K Ad Condemning Hamas By Elie Wiesel Rejected By London Times

Elie Wiesel
By Abe Katzman, Aug. 2014, Breitbart.com

The Times of London rejected an ad featuring Nobel Prize winner Elie Wiesel speaking out against Hamas’ reported use of children as human shields.

The ad sponsored by The Values Network, which was founded by one-time Oxford Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, has run in The New York Times, Washington Post and The Wall Street Journal, among other U.S. newspapers.

According to a report by the JTA, The Times refused the ad because "the opinion being expressed is too strong and too forcefully made and will cause concern amongst a significant number of Times readers," according to a statement from a representative of the newspaper.

Unverified Palestinian reports claim hundreds of children were killed in Gaza during Hamas’ latest conflict with Israel. Hamas is accused of placing munitions and fighters in areas near children, using them as human shields, as Israel would attempt to avoid firing on locations with a likelihood of civilian casualties.

Mexican-American Jewish Actress Sends Open Letter To Bardem And Cruz

Edie J. Adler
Open letter to Penelope Cruz & Javier Bardem
El comal le dijo a la olla

By Edie J. Adler
Published on LatinoLA: August 4, 2014

As a struggling actress who happens to be a Mexican-American Jew, I find a great sense of joy and pride when a fellow Latina/o or Jewish performer makes it and finds that elusive dream of success in show business. That was always the case whenever either one of you have had a successful project.

That is why I am so dismayed by your recent remarks about the war IMPOSED on Israel by Hamas.

Both of you have accused Israel of committing genocide against innocent Palestinian children. Seriously? Are you aware that this war was started by Hamas? Do you know that Hamas has violated every single cease fire they have agreed upon? Do you understand that Hamas launches its rockets from civilian neighborhoods, hospitals and schools? Do you know that Israel drops leaflets, makes telephone calls to Palestinian households, and then drops markers on intended targets before launching a DEFENSIVE strike, and that Hamas prevents their own people from evacuating?

Do you want to talk about occupation and genocide? Let's talk about what your ancestors did to mine when Columbus got lost looking for India and landed in America; or perhaps you would prefer to talk about the expulsion of all Jews from Spain in 1492.

If Portugal initiated a relentless missile attack on Spain, and all of your neighbors called for your complete annihilation, what would you like your government's response to be? Would you remain inactive while your people were threatened? Would you call for restraint? If Spain defended itself and its people, and your army was stronger than your enemy's, would you call your actions unjustified genocide?

Since Israel declared its independence in 1948, it has been forced into war time and time again. Israel's enemies do not want territory, they want their complete and utter annihilation!

I will resist the temptation of labeling you an anti-Semite; that's what people on your side do when anyone disagrees with their position or ideals: they resort to name-calling.

I want to believe you're misinformed and misguided, influenced by a mainstream media that will not tell you the truth.

With that in mind I invite you to spend a week in Israel; perhaps when you hear the alarms go off several times a day, when you have to run to a shelter for cover knowing it is not a drill, or a scene where someone will yell "cut" you will understand the concept of self-defense.

If spending a few days in Israel facing the true horrors of terrorism is not something you would consider, maybe you will take five minutes to watch this video, where my friend Dennis Prager explains in clear terms the conflict in the Middle East: www.prageruniversity.com/Political-Science/Middle-East-Problem.html.

If watching a five minute video is too much to ask, at the very least, please download the free app Red Alert Israel, which will warn you every time Hamas launches a missile from Gaza to Israel.

I know you've both issued statements saying your remarks were misunderstood, but until you retract your original statements and apologize I will do everything I can to influence every decent human being into not patronizing your projects, including your movies and endorsement liaisons, such as Lancome.

Let me conclude by saying that nobody (except perhaps Hamas) likes to see images of dead children. I, too, dream of a day where the lion can lay with the lamb, but to paraphrase the wise words of rabbi Yoshi Zweiback, until then, Israel cannot be the lamb!

Why They Fight: Hamas’ Too-Little-Known Fascist Charter

Hamas gathering in Gaza
www.intelligencesquaredus.org
By Jeffrey Herf, Aug. 1, 2014, The-american-interest.com

Given all the ink spilled about the current Gaza war, and the innumerable tragic photos, it’s strange that the Western press hasn’t inquired into why one of the parties is fighting. That would be Hamas, of course; the turgid psychologizing about Israel’s motives is quite familiar. But what about its Islamist enemy, penned up in a barren territory from which it launches rockets and digs tunnels under Israeli kibbutzim and kindergartens? For what was all that concrete poured, into the ground as part of the offensive, instead of above ground as the foundation of schools, factories, and homes?

It’s not exactly hard to find out. Hamas published a “Covenant” of 36 articles on August 18, 1988, that details its aims and ideology precisely. Its philosophy is rooted in the totalitarianism and radical anti-Semitism that has undergirded Islamism since its rise in the 1930s and 1940s. Far from moderating its core ideology, Hamas’ seizure of power in 2007 gave it the opportunity to make policy based on its guiding goal—namely, the destruction the state of Israel.1 But even though the Covenant is the declaration of intent of a group now governing millions of people, it goes unnoticed by reporters, editors, and pundits who race to comment on Hamas’ war with Israel.

There is no reason for this ignorance. The briefest Google search brings one to an English translation of the Covenant, provided by the Avalon Project of the Yale Law School over a decade ago. Hamas has not revised or modified its Covenant in all that time. The public statements of its leaders and its continued terror offensive against Israel are clear evidence that Hamas in 2014 remains inspired by the ideas expressed in founding text. This should be every policy maker’s, and every journalist’s, first stop in their efforts to understand Hamas. And it is of utmost importance that they read the text itself, as any student of literature will tell you. There is no substitute; to understand a person one must read him in his own words, noting everything from the cadence and syntax to the allusions to key figures of his ideological tradition. The Gaza war will be incomprehensible to anyone who refuses to take Hamas at its word—these words.

Weakened, But Not Down: Hamas May Resurface Stronger Than Before

Hamas / Source:  www.jpost.com / Reuters
By Ariel Ben Solomon, Aug. 1, 2014, Jpost.com

Hamas is in no rush for a cease-fire despite being continually pummeled by Israeli attacks. That is because it knows that Israel and the West are seeking a cease-fire, which would, once again, allow them to rebuild and rearm.

And as the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt saw many deaths since the overthrow of president Mohamed Morsi, the Palestinian branch of Hamas is also willing to sacrifice lives. After all, their motto is, “Allah is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. The Koran is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope.”

Mordechai Kedar, director of the Center for the Study of the Middle East and Islam and a research associate at the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies at Bar-Ilan University recalled the time before Operation Protective Edge when Israeli media experts said how weak Hamas was, that Egypt was closing its tunnels – its lifeline to the outside world – and how it struggled to pay salaries, and so forth.

However, after many killed and wounded, Hamas has still not surrendered nor have the people of Gaza rebelled, Kedar pointed out.

This misconception can be attributed to looking at Hamas from one's own cultural vantage point and not from Hamas’s cultural prospective, he said, adding that for Hamas, they do not see their dead as dead, but as martyrs that are alive in the afterworld.

As the Koran (3:169) states: “Count not those who were slain in God’s way as dead, but rather living with their Lord, by Him provided.”

Hamas Issues ‘Terrorism 101 Handbook’

Terror manual discovered by IDF
Source:  www.freebeacon.com
By Adam Kredo, Aug, 1, 2014, Freebeacon.com

Hamas has been disseminating to its followers in the Gaza Strip a detailed terrorism training manual that teaches would-be bombers how to make explosives and conceal them in household items such as televisions, according to documents seized by the Israeli military during recent raids.

Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers discovered the handbook on the ground in the Gaza Strip as they conducted raids of homes and other facilities used by Hamas to plan its terror activities.

Hamas’ terrorism manuals instruct readers on how to build homemade explosive devices and how to set them to explode in unlikely places.

Hamas has even strapped explosives to donkeys and attempted to send them after Israeli soldiers.

The terror group’s goal is to encourage the citizens of Gaza to plant explosives in unlikely places in the hopes that Israeli military personnel set them off during routine raids in Gaza.

It is just another example of how Hamas utilizes unconventional warfare techniques and civilian cover to carry out attacks on Israelis. Hamas has already been caught using women and children as human shields and firing their rockets from hospitals and United Nations-owned schools.

The detailed manual, excerpts of which were published by the IDF this week, explicitly instructs readers to camouflage their explosives, with one diagram demonstrating “how to fill a television-shaped bomb with shrapnel,” according to the IDF.

Top Secret Hamas Command Bunker In Gaza Revealed

Source:  www.wnd.com
By Staff Notes, Jul. 29, 2014, Tabletmag.com

The idea that one of Hamas’ main command bunkers is located beneath Shifa Hospital in Gaza City is one of the worst-kept secrets of the Gaza war. So why aren’t reporters in Gaza ferreting it out? The precise location of a large underground bunker equipped with sophisticated communications equipment and housing some part of the leadership of a major terrorist organization beneath a major hospital would seem to qualify as a world-class scoop—the kind that might merit a Pulitzer, or at least a Polk.

So why isn’t the fact that Hamas uses Shifa Hospital as a command post making headlines? In part, it’s because the location is so un-secret that Hamas regularly meets with reporters there. On July 15, for example, William Booth of the Washington Post wrote that the hospital “has become a de facto headquarters for Hamas leaders, who can be seen in the hallways and offices.” Back in 2006, PBS even aired a documentary showing how gunmen roam the halls of the hospital, intimidate the staff, and deny them access to protected locations within the building—where the camera crew was obviously prohibited from filming. Yet the confirmation that Hamas is using Gaza City’s biggest hospital as its de facto headquarters was made in the last sentence of the eighth paragraph of Booth’s story—which would appear to be the kind of rookie mistake that is known in journalistic parlance as “burying the lede.”

But Booth is no rookie—he’s an experienced foreign reporter, which means that he buried the lede on purpose. Why? Well, one reason might be that the “security sources” quoted whenever the location of the Hamas command bunker is mentioned—which, as evidenced by this 2009 article by the excellent and highly experienced foreign correspondent Steven Erlanger of the New York Times, happens every time there’s a war in Gaza—are obviously Israelis, not members of Hamas. It might be hard to believe the Israelis, the simple logic might run, since they obviously have an investment in arguing that Hamas is using hospitals and schools as human shields.

NYTimes: Even Gaza Truce Is Hard to Win, Kerry Is Finding

Source:  AP / ABC Action News
By Michael R. Gordon, Jul. 28, 2014, Nytimes.com

WASHINGTON — After failing to win a deal to end fighting in Gaza last week, Secretary of State John Kerry is trying to salvage Plan B: a succession of temporary cease-fires that he hopes might yet open the door to Israeli and Palestinian negotiations for a long-term solution.

On Sunday, however, Mr. Kerry was having difficulty accomplishing even that, despite a phone call in which President Obama, in a sign of mounting impatience, urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israelto embrace an “immediate, unconditional humanitarian cease-fire” while the two sides pursued a more lasting agreement.

Part of the reason the diplomatic effort has faced such an uphill struggle is far-reaching changes on both sides since the last Gaza cease-fire in 2012. Israel and Hamas seem to be dug in this time, with Israeli officials appearing dismissive of Mr. Kerry’s push for a weeklong cease-fire in a way that few American secretaries of state have faced.
