What If Trump Wins?

By Jeff Greenfield, Aug 06, 2015 Politico

Every political analyst, every political observer, every politician is absolutely sure that Donald Trump is not going to be the Republican nominee for president in 2016. And we’re all absolutely sure that Donald Trump is not going to be sworn in as president on January 20, 2017. Could we all be wrong?

So far, every poll seems to only be giving him more strength. Who would have thought even a month ago that as we enter the first GOP debate of the presidential election that Donald Trump, The Donald Trump, would be the leader in every single national poll and gaining strength in all the early primary and caucus states? Time and time again, in just a few weeks, his candidacy seems to have survived what we professional political observers all think are obviously fatal gaffes and flubs. Could this be the rare instance when politics is actually about to go haywire?

If you threw a ball up in the air and it didn’t come down, what would you think? Maybe it landed on the roof or got stuck in a tree. You would not think that the Law of Gravity had been repealed.

Ben Carson: ‘I Used To Be A Flaming Liberal’

By Genevieve Wood, July 30, 2015 Daily Signal

I had the chance to speak with Dr. Ben Carson recently about the Planned Parenthood scandal, his views on America’s growing debt and something I’ve always wanted to ask a brain surgeon…how do you explain the liberal brain?

You can watch the full video or jump to specific topics via the time codes below:

0:05 – Carson discusses how he hopes the current scandal surrounding Planned Parenthood will cause the black community to explore the organization’s history.

Watch Ted Cruz’s Epic Rant About How GOP Leadership Keeps Failing Conservatives

By Video Team, July 24, 2015 Daily Signal

On the Senate floor this morning, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, blasted Republican leadership.

“We’ve had a Republican majority in both houses of Congress now for about six months,” said Cruz in a speech. “What has that majority done? First thing we did – in December, we came back and passed a trillion dollar cromnibus plan, filled with pork and corporate welfare.”

“Then this Republican majority voted to fund Obamacare,” he continued, “voted to fund President Obama’s unconstitutional executive amnesty, then leadership rammed through the confirmation of Loretta Lynch as attorney general. Madam President, which of those decisions would be one iota different if Harry Reid were still majority leader? Not a one. Not a one. This senate operates exactly the same.”

Al Sharpton: Trump Not Running To Win

By Cheryl Chumley, July 22, 2015 WorldNetDaily

Al Sharpton sent out a harsh message about businessman Donald Trump, saying the billionaire may be running for president, but it doesn’t appear he’s really trying to win.

Sharpton also admitted in an interview with the Washington Post that his own run for the White House years ago wasn’t about winning, but rather about advancing his own personal causes.

“When you run for president, in my opinion, you run either to win or you run to further a cause,” Sharpton said, the Washington Post reported. “I ran [in 2004] to further a cause. … [and issues] we wanted to raise like criminal justice and all were not going to be in the center stage if we didn’t have a candidate.”

"Rick Perry Asks Black Voters To Give GOP A Second Chance"

By Theodore Schleifer, July 2, 2015, CNN

Washington (CNN) Rick Perry on Thursday said the Republican Party lost some of its "moral legitimacy" by not vying for the black vote in past elections, adding that the GOP has "much to do" to earn the trust of African-Americans.

Perry, the former Texas governor and 2016 presidential hopeful, used a half-hour speech at the National Press Club in Washington to try and recast blacks' concerns as going beyond race, pitching his much-touted jobs record in Austin as the most enticing message to woo skeptical black voters.
