Florida Sheriff Rips Black Community's Embrace Of 'Thug Culture'

Escambia County Sheriff David Morgan posted a video message this week expressing his politically incorrect opinions on "black culture." The 30-year law enforcement veteran started by denouncing the term “African-American” as "divisive," before arguing that the embrace of “thug culture” was destroying the community and calling for a renewed focus on teaching "character and integrity."

“First off, let me take issue with the title of ‘African-American,’” he began. “We’re Americans.”

Akai Gurley was gunned down in a Brooklyn housing project stairwell, and the cop who shot him shockingly texted his union rep before calling 911.

Sharpton has gone on the attack, holding a news conference condemning the cop.

But Gurley's aunt, Hertenceia Peterson -- who is speaking for his mom -- tells TMZ, "Al Sharpton came in, put his name on the situation, but has not even made one single call to the parents to Akai."
Peterson says all Sharpton sees "is money and political gain and that he is turning the tragedy into a circus."

Desperate Democrats Resort To Race-Baiting To Spur Black Vote

The spate of campaign fliers that use images of lynchings, Jim Crow laws and the recent racial unrest in Ferguson, Missouri, to urge blacks to vote in next week’s election somehow failed to grab the attention of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.

The NAACP headquarters in Washington wasn’t prepared to answer questions about the fliers and mailers circulated in black communities in Georgia, Maryland and North Carolina, despite widespread news coverage of it for the past week.

She did not respond after receiving the information.

Bob Ross, president of the NAACP branch in Prince George’s County, Maryland, also wasn’t familiar with the race-baiting campaign literature.

“We haven’t seen it and we haven’t heard about it,” said Mr. Ross, whose county is majority black and a critical Democratic stronghold in statewide races. “I have three Facebook pages and Twitter and I haven’t seen that yet.”
