Washington (CNN)Hillary Clinton is enjoying a strong summer but her party's voter registration advantage is shrinking in three battleground states that could decide the election, according to a CNN analysis of newly released registration data.

With 10 weeks to go, Clinton is favored in CNN's latest Electoral College map. And there are still more registered Democrats than Republicans in Florida, North Carolina and Pennsylvania. But the GOP has improved its position in all three states by adding hundreds of thousands of voters to the rolls.

Hillary Clinton trounced Bernie Sanders in the key states of Florida and Ohio on Tuesday night, pulling away in the delegate race and delivering a full-throated call to arms against Donald Trump in her victory speech.
The former secretary of state appeared to be on the verge of a clean sweep of the five contests of the night. She also scored victories in North Carolina and Illinois. In the fifth state, Missouri, Clinton was leading by about 1,500 votes with all but two precincts reporting early Wednesday morning.

Clay Aiken ran against Republican incumbent Renee Ellmers for a House seat in North Carolina’s 2nd Congressional District, and the “American Idol” runner-up ended up in second place for the third time.

The openly gay, relatively liberal Broadway singer, born in Raleigh, decided he wanted to run for Congress in the conservative district in February, though he lacked political experience.

 A stunning undercover video exposes a reckless disregard of election law in North Carolina. Multiple campaign operatives and workers, both democrats and republicans, encourage felony voter fraud.

 A Project Veritas Action operative poses as an enthusiastic wanna-be voter, who also happens to be a non U. S. citizen. When she asks campaign managers and other campaign operatives if it is okay if she votes they all say yes, no problem.

Greg Amick, Campaign Manager for Mecklenburg County Sheriff hopeful Irwin Carmichael, says, ‘it shouldn’t be an issue at all.” Martin Kelly, the father of Superior Court Judge candidate David Kelly adds, “If they registered her, then she can’t get in trouble. All they can do is say no. They can’t do anything else.”

NC Restaurant With "No Weapons" Sign Robbed at Gunpoint --Hello, Chipotle...is this thing on?

North Carolina restaurant The Pit was robbed at gunpoint on Sunday. Normally, local crime stories like this wouldn't merit a Townhall post, but this one is different: The Pit has a "no weapons" sign displayed prominently on its door declaring the restaurant a gun-free zone, and bans patrons from carrying concealed weapons.

Authorities said just before 9 p.m. Sunday, three men wearing hoodies entered the restaurant through the back doors with pistols, and forced several staff members to lie on the floor.

The bandits assaulted two employees during the crime, but they were not seriously injured.

What groups like Everytown for Gun Safety or Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America seem to have an issue grasping is that criminals have no respect for the law by nature of being criminals. Criminals aren't going to be stopped by a "no guns allowed" sign. If somebody is going to rob or shoot up a Chipotle, for instance, they're not going to care that they cannot (or have been politely asked not to) bring a gun onto the premises. Criminals are not going to submit to background checks. They'll use straw purchases or just buy a gun from an illegal source. All these policies and laws do is make it harder for legal gun owners to protect themselves.

While I am thankful nobody was hurt, this certainly harms the narrative that "gun free" places are safe places.
