During a conference call with reporters Monday, senior adviser Tad Devine discussed the enthusiasm gap between the Vermont senator and Clinton.
"I believe, and I think Ben just made this point very clearly as well, that she is a weak front-runner," Devine said, referring to campaign pollster Ben Tulchin.
Sanders and his campaign have sounded confident of late in its candidate's path going forward into the April contests in Wisconsin, New York and throughout the Northeast later in the month, suggesting in interviews over the weekend and on Monday that the senator could peel off superdelegates as he gains momentum with subsequent primary victories.
