Liberals are always preaching the values of diversity and inclusion. Regrettably, such platitudes are just rhetoric, because upon closer examination liberals hate diversity.

As evidence, just examine some recent and disturbing activities on the campus of Rutgers University. After former Secretary of State and National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice was invited to give the commencement address, liberals went crazy. In February, the faculty council passed a resolution demanding that the university withdraw their invitation to Rice. Thereafter, student protesters stormed the office of the Rutgers President to express their disapproval of the selection and condemn Rice as a war criminal.

What is ironic in this whole series of events is that Rice no conservative, but a very moderate Republican, who just happened to serve in the George W. Bush administration. Her academic and professional credentials are extraordinary and Rutgers students should have been extremely grateful to have someone of her caliber address them.

Unfortunately, only negative protests were heard from students and faculty, so Dr. Rice eventually decided to decline the invitation. In her letter to the university, Rice noted that “I have defended America’s belief in free speech and the exchange of ideas. These values are essential to the health of our democracy.”

Sadly, it seems that universities are no longer committed to free speech or open debate as only liberalism is allowed. This trend has been occurring across the nation for years. Whereas, universities are supposed to be laboratories for free discussion, embracing all ideological viewpoints; upon closer examination, liberalism is not only dominant, it is unchallenged.

On a regular basis, conservative speakers are either completely shunned or, if they are invited, verbally and even physically attacked on campus. Conservative commentator Ann Coulter, among many others, has been targeted. Today, even moderates like Dr. Rice are unwelcome.

Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has chosen not to give a commencement speech at Rutgers University after students and faculty protested, speaking out against her role in the Iraq War.

Rutgers students and faculty had protested plans to have the George W. Bush administration cabinet member deliver the commencement speech, staging sit-ins and saying Rice was partially responsible for the war in Iraq, the Associated Press reports. The school’s board of governors and faculty had voted to pay Rice $35,000 for speaking at the event.

Rice defended her record in a statement, but said she did not want to detract from the May 18 ceremony.

“Commencement should be a time of joyous celebration for the graduates and their families,” Rice said. “Rutgers’ invitation to me to speak has become a distraction for the university community at this very special time.”

Liberal Fascism: The Silencing Of ‘War Criminal’ Condi Rice By Larry Elder

Rutgers University invited Condi Rice, the former Secretary of State, to deliver the commencement speech and receive an honorary degree.  But faculty on the New Brunswick and Newark campuses demanded that Rutgers rescind Rice’s invitation.



If the school abruptly disinvited a liberal black speaker, her defenders would shout “Racism!” quicker than you could say voter ID.  Rice critics also want a web cloud company called Dropbox to rescind its invitation to have Rice join its board.  They claim that Rice, whom her critics call a serial violator of the Fourth Amendment, is a bad choice to sit on the board of a company that believes in protecting the privacy rights of its customers. Fox News reports,  “Internet activists are calling for the boycott of popular cloud storage service Dropbox after it named former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to its board of directors earlier this week.”


So using the following headline, we posted this story: Dropbox Pressed To Ditch Condoleezza Rice Board Appointment --More liberal fascism -- Condi being Mozilla-ed!!

Condi critic Peter responded to me:  she's a hawk like the rest of the Bush admin.

Elder: So “hawks" shouldn't sit on boards? Was she a "hawk" for supporting the now unpopular Afghan War, too? Or does did she earn the label when she supported the now unpopular Iraq War? Were 72% of Americans "hawks" when that percentage supported the Iraq War?

Now here's where you say, "Bush lied us into the war by faking the case for WMD, thus duping the American public, the sons and daughters of whom Bush wished to send to war on a false pretext." Why would he do such a thing? Well, GWB is, of course, evil. And Cheney, more evil.

How quickly we forget that the decision to invade Iraq was a direct result of 9/11,  after which 90 percent of Americans expected another major attack within 6 months to a year. How many in the Clinton administration assumed that Saddam possessed WMD? Practically everybody: Who Thought Iraq Had WMD? Most Everybody

Brian, another Condi critic, wrote: How is it fascism to say I don't support torture wars for oil?

Elder: What about allowing someone with a different pov -- at one time supported by 72% (Iraq war)--to have an chance to share it?

Brian: What does she need to share? Majority of Americans in the past have had all sorts of misguided and ugly viewpoints. Iraq, too.

Elder: Thanks for deciding what "need[s] to [be] share[d]" You've shown exactly what's meant by "liberal fascism." You decide, we abide.

Dropbox Pressed To Ditch Condoleezza Rice Board Appointment --More liberal fascism, Condi being Mozilla-ed!!

Dropbox founders responded to an Internet revolt that swelled this week after the tech company asked Condoleezza Rice to serve on its board.

CEO Drew Houston issued a sort-of apology Friday and said inviting the former secretary of state to serve on the company’s board would not impact its fight for transparency and government surveillance reform.  

“We should have been clearer that none of this is going to change with Dr. Rice’s appointment to our Board,” Houston wrote in a company blog post. “Our commitment to your rights and your privacy is at the heart of every decision we make, and this will continue.”  

Earlier in the week, Internet users rebelled against the appointment of Rice, who served under President George W. Bush and was a central architect of the U.S. invasion into Iraq. The online campaign “Drop Dropbox” urged users to ditch their Dropbox accounts and opt for an alternative.  

Critics called for Dropbox to remove Rice over her role in pushing the Bush administration mantra that Iraq leader Saddam Hussein was developing weapons of mass destruction.

Retired pediatric neurosurgeon Dr. Benjamin Carson charged on Friday that mainstream African-American organizations are silent when black Republicans or conservatives are criticized.

"Where are the black liberals when atrocities occur?" Carson, who is weighing a GOP candidacy for the White House in 2016, asked talk-show host Roland Martin on "NewsOne Now" on the black cable network channel TV One. "Organizations like the NAACP …, do you ever see them coming out in support of a conservative black person?"

Carson noted that former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has been the subject of protests by student and faculty at Rutgers University since she was selected as commencement speaker in February. They charge that Rice supported torture and lied about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

Carson, 62, who retired last summer as chief of pediatric neurosurgery at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, said that the protests have occurred simply because Rice "was a conservative."

The university has affirmed its decision on Rice speaking the May commencement.

Carson himself has come under fire for saying Obamacare was "the worst thing that has happened in this nation since slavery" and for likening the United States to Nazi Germany.

With his slavery remark, Carson told Martin that he was "not trying to make light of slavery. What I was trying to get people to understand is what is happening with a government program that takes control of the most important thing you have, which is your health."
