MSNBC Guest: 'No Such Thing As Radical Islam'

On Friday's The Ed Show on MSNBC, during a discussion of conservative criticism of President Barack Obama for not using the words "radical Islam" in the aftermath of the shooting rampage in Chattanooga, Tennessee, liberal comedian and Daily Beast columnist Dean Obeidallah tried to misdirect the conversation with a debate over definitions of words as he asserted that "there is no such thing as radical Islam."

Ironically, unlike the similar semantic game played by some on the left who argue that Muslim terrorists should not be considered "Muslims" because their violent actions are supposedly not consistent with the Koran, Obeidallah surprisingly did admit that "radical Muslims" and "Muslim terrorists" do exist:

Apparently Mighty Allah hates blond people and wants his devout Muslim followers to stab them in the kidneys. Diversity. It’s everywhere you don’twant to be stabbed in the kidneys.

Mohammad Kiad, 25, and Omar Al-Kutobi, 24, were arrested in their shared squalid granny flat at Fairfield, western Sydney, on Tuesday afternoon, where a police raid allegedly uncovered a machete, a hunting knife, an Islamic State flag and a video featuring both the men, with one recorded making threats of carrying out an attack.

“I swear to almighty Allah we will carry out the first operation for the soldiers of the caliphate in Australia. I swear to almighty Allah, blond people, there is no room for blame between you and us. We only are you, stabbing the kidneys and striking the necks.”

So was Mohammed Merah, who shot seven people dead, including three children at Jewish day school, in Toulouse and Montauban in March 2012.

Let’s be clear: Islam in general is a peaceful religion, but terrorists like the ones in Paris and elsewhere are Islamic terrorists who use an extreme interpretation of Islamic teaching to justify the slaughter of innocents.

They represent the evil side of Islam, but when acts such as this happen, political correctness needs to go out of window and Obama and these other world leaders need to call it what it is, and that is Islamic terrorism.

WASHINGTON, November 30, 2013 — Across the globe, Islam, promising peace, marches forward. The only peace they offer infidels and apostates, indeed even to opposing sects of their own religion, is conversion, or the peace of the grave.

Radical Islam is the main force fomenting turbulence today. Imperial Russia and Communist China play a dangerous game, arming Islamic countries with high-tech weapons of mass destruction, while tamping down dissent from Islamists at home. Aiming to destroy American power, they risk their own.

In a world rapidly destabilizing, it could take but a spark to rekindle conflicts that have so long simmered. With America’s Progressive leadership unwilling to maintain the fragile status quo that existed from the end of World War II until the fall of the Berlin Wall, other powers have rushed in to fill the vacuum. This new world order is nothing like what was ostensibly intended by the winners.

Large parts of North Africa and the Middle East are afire, torn between forces that offer little difference save the name and brand of totalitarian control. America’s ill-fated attempts at nation-building in Muslim countries with little tradition or desire for democracy has set the stage for impending conflict on a world scale. Our all-volunteer army has been dispirited and exhausted, and is overextended.
