Hackers Release Cache Of 13,000 Passwords And Credit Cards Of PlayStation, Xbox And Amazon Users

The hackers are believed to have used a denial of service attack, where they bombard the targets servers with internet traffic forcing it to shut down and preventing legitimate access.

This comes as Christmas was ruined for thousands of children across the country who were forced to abandon plans to spend the holidays in a virtual world playing on their new Playstation or Xbox games systems due to cyber-hackers.

Women's Apparel, Dining Drive U.S. Holiday Sales: MasterCard

The results reflected a growing consumer preference for "experience" over goods, Sarah Quinlan, a senior vice president at MasterCard, said. The "economy is very strong but they are spending in a different way," she said in an interview.

Contrary to some experts who predicted a strong showing for electronics, the category was among the weakest, with sales "basically flat" from Black Friday to Dec. 24 and in negative territory when looking at sales starting on Nov. 1, according to the report.

Obama Says An NYC Restaurant Rejected His Credit Card

New York has been a tough town for President Barack Obama over the past few months.

First, elite New York golf courses reportedly rejected President Barack Obama's request to tee off during Labor Day Weekend. Now, the President says a New York City restaurant rejected his credit card while he was in town for the United Nations General Assembly last month.

"It turned out I guess I don’t use it enough," Obama recalled Friday after he signed an executive order to protect consumers from identity theft, according to a transcript of his remarks. "So they thought there was some fraud going on. Fortunately, Michelle had hers."

"And I was trying to explain to the waitress, no, I really think that I’ve been paying my bills," he joked. "Even I’m affected by this."
