Larry Elder Returns To LA Radio

CRN Digital Talk Radio announced that Libertarian radio host and author Larry Elder will have his Internet radio show also heard on terrestrial radio. A replay of his afternoon show will soon be heard from 9-11 p.m. on KRLA/Los Angeles. The Larry Elder Show will replace the syndicated Mike Gallagher Show. It is a return to LA radio for Elder, who was heard for 18 years on KABC/Los Angeles until he was released near the end of last year.

“Where is Larry Elder … Where did he go? We miss him,” wondered Marian Mann after her return from Paris. Her husband Reeve Chubb, the distinguished estate and trust attorney with Ervin Cohen & Jessup in Beverly Hills, equally a devotee of Larry’s weekday broadcasts on KABC, wished he knew.

Hold on, we do know … and we’ll bring you up to the minute in minutes.

Long regarded as The Sage From South Central, Larry was discovered and embraced by political junkies fiddling around with their car radio dials while motoring around Southern California. His keen perceptions and devastating analyses of the global arena, insane as it often is, are fascinating and legendary. Especially for those thousands who hunger for a relief/break from Tinsel Town’s arch and unforgiving “limousine liberals.” Larry’s broadcasts proved to be refreshing tonics, comforting, and surprising with their unexpected twists concerning the politics of deception. Not to be missed.

Possibly not for everyone without a yen for what’s happening out there in governments, ours and the hither and yons.

No matter one’s bent – blue, red, pink, orange, violet – Larry dishes hearty fodder for the gray matter. And diehard fans like Marian Mann also were privileged to get to know his “chief justice” mom Viola Conley Elder, now lamented, who presided over Larry’s Friday afternoon “court.” Blessed Viola wowed his loyal listeners (many of the bewildered “closet” conservatives variety) with her polite yet fearless “slapdowns” on what masquerades as truths within those hallowed dark halls of Congress and Capitol Hill. Viola is deeply missed, and remembered as an American woman of profound depth.

Los Angeles-born Larry (1952) graduated from Brown University, earned his J.D. in 1977 from the University of Michigan Law School, gained national respect and prominence as a young attorney in Cleveland. In time, he achieved star status as host of The Larry Elder Show, winning awards, and amassing an enviable following weekdays with his then 3-7 PM nationally syndicated broadcasts for several decades.

Larry supports free trade, school choice, same-sex marriage, personhood for unborn children. His dad Randolph owned a snack shop in South Central, with Larry claiming he’s never known “a tougher life than Randolph’s … never hated, never bitter, never condemned his circumstances, believing there are very few problems that cannot be solved through hard work.”

“I was fired from KABC. The Hollywood Reporter suggests the decision is not a popular one,” Insiders note that his ratings exceeded every other KABC show, and by far, the ratings were climbing.
