Angry Clashes In South Carolina As Ku Klux Klan

Angry clashes have erupted between members of the Ku Klux Klan and the New Black Panther Party as both groups rally at the South Carolina statehouse.

Confederate flags were stolen and ripped up to cheers and applause from the New Black Panther demonstrators - while KKK members stood on the steps of the capitol performing Nazi salutes.

The white supremacists came out in force on Saturday afternoon to condemn the governor's decision to remove the Confederate Flag due to its associations with racial hatred.

Countering their demonstration, around 400 people with links to the New Black Panther Party marched in the name of racial equality - calling on politicians to do more than simply bring down a flag.

Black Suspect Arrested After Racist Message Discovered Outside Predominately Black Church

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4)– A Colorado Springs man was arrested after police believe he left racist messages outside a church.

Vincent Broughton, 44, who is black, is facing charges for committed a bias-motivated crime and disorderly conduct.

The signs were posted outside the New Covenant church that is predominately attended by African Americans. One sign references the KKK. Another reads, “Black men beware, you are the target.”

The messages had the congregation on edge.

“We locked our doors this morning, so we were inside, but it shouldn’t be that way. You shouldn’t have to lock your doors in the church, it’s just… I’m speechless,” said Pastor Roland Joyner.

Police said Broughton admitted to posting the flyers but did not explain why he targeted the church.

Seventh Black Church Burns In South Since Charleston Church Shooting

COLUMBIA, S.C. (CBS Atlanta/AP) — A federal law enforcement source says a fire that destroyed a black church in South Carolina was not the work of an arsonist.


The source says preliminary indications are that the fire at the Mount Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church in Greeleyville, 50 miles north of Charleston, was not intentionally set and was not arson. The official spoke on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the case publicly. The source says the fire is still under investigation.

The fire comes 20 years after the Ku Klux Klan burned it down.

KKK Threatens Ferguson Protesters, ‘Anonymous’ Responds By Allegedly IDing Klan Members

FERGUSON, MO - After a Ku Klux Klan group in Missouri released a flyer that threatened to use ‘lethal force’ on Ferguson protesters, members of the hacker group Anonymous have declared ‘Cyber Warfare’ on the KKK.

In an interview with the River Front Times, the leader of the KKK group described Ferguson protesters as “the best recruiters since Obama,” and described them as terrorists, not protesters.

Just days before, a neighborhood in Fenton, Missouri woke up to find KKK flyers in their driveways offering neighborhood watch security.

The flyer released by the Ku Klux Klan directly addressed the protesters and wrote “You have awakened a sleeping giant,” and went on to add “We will use lethal force as provided under Missouri Law to defend ourselves.”

After KKK released this flyer, members of the worldwide hacker group released a YouTube video along with a written statement. “The aim of our operation is nothing more than Cyber Warfare,” read the group’s YouTube comment. “Anything you upload will be taken down, anything you use to promote the KKK will be shut down.”

Democratic Judicial Candidate's Husband Is A White Supremacist

The husband of a Democratic candidate running for a judicial seat in Connecticut has just made things very difficult for his wife.

The husband of a Connecticut Democrat running for a probate judge seat caused a social media kerfluffle on Friday after it turned out he’s an enthusiastic backer of what looks a lot like white supremacy, much to the exasperation of his political wife, who faces the voters on Tuesday.

Robert Freeman made headlines on Friday after his blog Mindweapons of Ragnarok was exposed by One People’s Project, an organization devoted to monitoring hate groups.

On his blog, he writes how he wants to establish whites-only towns, employing individuals from other cultures and races as spies in an agenda to shape America in his image.

His wife, Anna Zubkova, is running as a Democrat for a probate judge seat in Plainfield, Conn. The election is on Tuesday and Freeman is rightfully concerned that his political views might infringe upon her chances.

“He did not have those views when we married, but acquired them after,” Zubkova told The Norwich Bulletin. “What am I supposed to do? Divorce him? It’s not unusual for husbands and wives to have different views.”

According to Freeman, Zubkova, who did not respond to a request for comment from The Daily Beast, obtained her citizenship through the marriage.

Freeman originally responded to the allegations on his website in a post Friday.
