When it comes to the competing demands of the primary season and general election, perhaps no other issue disadvantages Republicans more than immigration. On Thursday night, the candidates emphasized border security – an appeal to the Republican base. No one advocated a path to citizenship for the millions of undocumented workers in America, which is favored by Latino voters.
“Most of the candidates are trying to avoid what to do with the 11 or 12 million who are here, mostly because Republicans want border security,” says Matt Mackowiak, a GOP consultant based in Texas. “This is going to be a major issue in the primary and the general.”

Feds: 664,607 Illegals Granted Amnesty, Some Linked To Terrorism, Gangs

The administration's program to grant amnesty to illegal immigrants under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival program has given the green light to 664,607 since 2012, including several linked to fraud, terrorism and gangs, according to the U.S Citizenship and Immigration Services agency.
What's more, applications for permanent residence have surged from 3,000 to 7,500 a month, far above projections, according to agency answers provided to Senate Judiciary Immigration and the National Interest Subcommittee Republicans and obtained by Secrets.

Donald Trump, His Rising Poll Numbers And Millennials
The windstorm that has been the candidacy of Donald Trump is nothing short of captivating. In typical Trump fashion he took the Republican field by storm rising to the top of the polls through his brash and “politically incorrect” declarations.
Many of the elites and talking heads from the Republican party have been quick to criticize Trump for his assertions that Mexico is sending their worst nationals into the the United States. Mr. Trump claimed that a majority of those who enter the country illegally have been previously convicted criminals and rapists and by not first securing the boarder Americans will face more and more tragic deaths and brutal attacks at the hands of illegal immigrants.
