Peter Daou took to social media Saturday night to share what he thinks should have happened at the White House Correspondence Dinner.

…you know, the event President Donald Trump refused to attend.

Daou is a former adviser to Hillary Clinton and, along with Tom Watson, co-founded #HillaryMen, so it should come as no surprise that he stood by his … woman.

“Most honest thing that could happen at #WHCD is for the national press to apologize to Hillary and her voters for their disdainful coverage,” Daou tweeted.
