Ayaan Hirsi Ali
By Jeff Poor, May 31, 2014, Breitbart.com

On Friday’s “The Kelly File” on the Fox News Channel, Harvard Kennedy School fellow Ayaan Hirsi Ali made an appearance to discuss the plight of Meriam Yehya Ibrahim, a Sudanese woman who was sentenced to death for her Christianity that recently gave birth in a Sudanese prison.

Hirsi Ali, an outspoken critic and victim of Islam for female genital mutilation, urged those in the West, including states, to unite against tenets of Sharia Law, which call for the punishment she and Ibrahim faced, as they did against South Africa’s apartheid in the 1980s and 1990s.

“It’s not a dichotomy -- it's not like black and white between having boots on the ground versus doing nothing,” Hirsi Ali said. “Remember apartheid -- we stopped it through writing books, writing, through songs, through trade boycotts, through diplomacy. We were united as a -- just not America but the West and all moral countries to say it is unacceptable to divide humanity to blacks and whites and what are we seeing with Sharia? We’re seeing it in Brunei. We’re seeing it in Sudan. We know it in our lives, Saudi Arabia and others. On grounds of, you know … we are not taking the positions, the moral positions that we need to and we're not fighting that moral positions with the tools we have.”

Israel: As appalling as it was to hear Secretary of State John Kerry compare the one Middle East country with Western values to the old South Africa, it should shock no one. It's obvious this administration reviles Israel.

According to the man who 43 years ago this month contemptuously discarded his military decorations onto the steps of the U.S. Capitol, an Israel that stands firm against terrorist Palestinians refusing to recognize its legitimacy will either cease "to be a Jewish state" or become "an apartheid state with second-class citizens."

John Kerry of Swift Boat infamy insisted how "imperative it is to get to the two-state solution" during what he thought were private remarks to the government officials and wonks at the Trilateral Commission. The Daily Beast's Josh Rogin crashed the affair and recorded Kerry's unguarded comments.

First off, let's be brutally honest about two states: There is little chance it will be a solution to anything. It can, in fact, be expected to fan the flames of anti-Israeli fanaticism.

But Kerry and Obama want to preside over some settlement for which they can take credit — then blame the Israelis later when it doesn't work out as advertised.

Second, let's parse this insulting notion of an "Apartheid Israel." Of course, calls for Kerry to resign only elicit laughs within the corridors of the West Wing; it's not as if he called a Muslim country an apartheid state, after all.

It is astonishing how casually people accuse Israel of engaging in “apartheid” in its treatment of Palestinian citizens in Israel or the treatment of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.

Fear of suicide (I prefer term “homicide”) bombings caused Israel to erect barriers in Gaza and West Bank.  Rockets fired in from Gaza remain a daily danger, and less frequently from southern Lebanon. Inside Israel, Palestinians are Israeli citizens who enjoy more rights and privileges than in any Arab and Muslim country.

I just had this exchange via Twitter:

Elder: Palestinians have embraced suicide bombing and victimhood to win a worldwide PR war -- all while refusing to recognize Israel as a Jewish state.

B.M.: Israel advocates extermination of Palestine, but wants to be the moral authority on the situation. Noooo.

Elder:  I'm sure you'll provide a source for your assertion that Israel "advocates extermination of Palestine."

B.M.: My source is reality. Israel treats Africans in their country like shit and supports an apartheid government with Palestinians.

Elder: Blacks voted and served in Parliament under apartheid? An Arab sits on Israel's Supreme Court. Apartheid?!!!

B.M.: Yes, because table scraps but not 100% rights are okay. I am not impressed because they have one or two swimming in the masses.

Elder: So blacks could vote, travel and be on the Supreme Court under apartheid? And such civil rights are "scraps"? SMH.

And, please, no comments about his initials.

Larry only pawn in game of life.
