William Barr ordered an investigation into how the CIA concluded Russia wanted to help Trump in 2016 — but that investigation was already done 2 years ago

The Department of Justice is reviewing whether the Central Intelligence Agency's findings that the Russian government intervened to boost President Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election was correct, but it's an investigation that was reportedly already conducted over two years ago.

Mike Pompeo — a Trump loyalist who is now the secretary of state — carried out a similar investigation in 2017 shortly after he was appointed as CIA director, according to Politico.
