Though he has strayed from the limelight since his formal departure from the White House in 2017, former President Obama appeared to be firing a warning flare from across the Atlantic at his party. The Democrats could be killing their 2020 chances with this lurch to the Left, where adherence to left-wing orthodoxy will be the litmus test. So far, it’s a race over which candidate can out-crazy the other. Who can declare their affinity for abortion, abolishing ICE, opening the borders, killing the Trump tax cuts, and torching the U.S. economy first?
