We've been writing about the possibility of a looming Supreme Court vacancy for some time now, having been informed by a very well-placed source last spring that Justice Anthony Kennedy was on the brink of retirement. Here we are more than a year later, and those rumors have only gained steam -- with the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee going so far as to urge Kennedy to get on with it and announce his intentions as soon as possible.
