It is unfortunate that the Democrats do not want to try and re-do their response to the fisa memo. I have heard all of this talk on the news how the Republican's memo was misleading, a fraud, a nothing burger yet I have not seen a single person be able to point to one fact that was asserted in the Republican's memo that has been proven false. Maybe I missed something? Please tell me if you think one of them is false.
ReplyDelete1. In 2016 the fbi filed an application to re-open a fisa warrant to do surveillance on Carter Page. They previously obtained one in 2013 that expired.
2. The fisa warrant was granted in 2016 and it allowed them to tap Carter Page as well as allowed them to see electronic communications he made in the past. (Which included the time when he volunteered for then candidate Trump.)
3. The most significant evidence the fbi relied upon to get the 2016 application approved was the Dossier and the credibility of its author. (Initially Adam Schiff and a few others said this was the lie bc he alleged they had other evidence they relied upon more than the dossier.)
4 The fbi used the dossier to act as the new evidence that justified re-opening the Page warrant that was previously expired years earlier.
5. The fbi never told the fisa court that the dossier was paid for by both of trumps opponents including his opponents in the primaries and in the general Hillary and the dnc. The fbi merely included a footnote that the dossier was political in nature.
6. In addition to being reopened in 2016 there were also three additional renewals yet still the fbi did not mention that the dossier was actually opposition research nor did they tell the court they had cut ties w the dossier’s author due to him lying.
Which of those if any is untrue?
