Colin Kaepernick’s Girlfriend Nessa Diab Responds To National Anthem Protest In Twitter Statement

By IB Times, Aug 29, 2016

While some people are burning San Francisco 49ers jerseys over Colin Kaepernick’s national anthem protest, his girlfriend, MTV host Nessa Diab, is supporting the quarterback. She took to Twitter to issue a statement about her beau Sunday, the same day she attended the 2016 Video Music Awards at Madison Square Garden in New York.

“I'm always proud of him and always will be @Kaepernick7,” Nessa, as she is best known, wrote Sunday. “Please take the time to UNDERSTAND what he is saying.” The “Girl Code” star then shared an article from the San Francisco Chronicle where Kaepernick explained his protest. The tweet was liked and shared dozens of times by her 120,000 followers.

  1. NO! She needs to understand where the public is coming from. There is a time and a place to project one's Freedom of Speech, and standing in RESPECT for our NATIONAL FLAG is NOT one of them!

  3. Why does he even have any rights? he's turned his back on America and everything the flag represents so why should he be protected by an American first amendment right? I believe he relinquishes his rights under America if he doesn't honor or respect this country afterall he says he doesn't believe in what America stands for. Cant' have your cake and eat it too, make your choice. But here's the real reasons he's sitting, number 1.... a white quarterback has taken his number 1 spot and since he's gotta sit on the bench for the games, why should he rise just for the anthem? He's feeling oppressed by the white coach and number 2 that muslim gf of his told him the white man is holding him back so now its payback time. Kaperdick is a joke and a disgrace and selfish, it's all about him, notice he says when he believes things have changed he'll stand for the anthem and flag. OK and what is that going to take what do you want to see Kap? cause we're here only to make you happy, it's just for you. He had to have been one of those whiny spoiled rich kids growing up and he's not grown up yet. The majority of people DO NOT support his political stance and I'd like to know why he can do that while he's on the clock, at work, on the job, the game has begun and he's making a political statement to a captive audience? Most jobs you take your political agenda elsewhere on your own time not while you are working or at the jobsite. And what a great message to the young punk kids he gives...disrespect your country until you get the respect you deserve from this country...these kids clearly show they have no respect they do not listen to any authority figure but now your telling them to F#@k America Kaepdick? Here's a start in the right direction to getting these kids back on track BAN RAP music! and quit thugging
