President Obama Pens Letter to Police: 'We Have Your Backs'

President Barack Obama told the law enforcement community that he fully supports them and promised, "We have your backs" in the wake of deadly attacks on police in Dallas and Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

The comments came in a letter penned to the "brave members of our law enforcement community," posted Monday on the Fraternal Order of Police’s Facebook page, followed by a declaration that flags will be flown at half-staff at the White House and federal buildings in honor of the police officers killed.

  1. Obama is just reacting to polling. He realized that his words and agenda are not widely supported by the vast majority of decent and law-abiding citizens. He is the one who uses inflammatory language and has agendas. Not sure who wrote this speech for him but it seems like this is the first time he is reading the speech. He should take his speech writers' advice. You can tell his heart is not into the speech but he is doing this because he has found out that most US citizens do not have the stomach or heart to follow him further into the chaos and death that he is largely responsible for creating. The media is also greatly responsible for creating this environment by very selectively reporting.
