Prominent political adviser James Carville might have been the intended target of a roast on Thursday night, but no one was spared from barbs — not the VIP roasters onstage at the Kennedy Center concert hall, not Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump, not even black people or Muslims.
Comedian Bob Saget hosted, and roasters included conservative political consultant Mary Matalin (also Carville’s wife), comedian Jeff Ross and civil rights activist Al Sharpton. The humor was predominantly vulgar and raunchy — so much so that we can’t print some of the funnier lines. Nonetheless, here are some of the funniest moments of the night:
