After camping out overnight outside of McDonald’s offices in Oak Brook, Illinois, demonstrators gathered to picket the company’s annual shareholder meeting. In all, as many as 10,000 fast-food, home-care and child-care workers from across the U.S. may be protesting, the labor-backed organizers say.
