"He’s Doing This With the Wrong Christian"

Baker Has A Message For The Gov’t Official Who Just Fined Him $135,000 For Declining A Gay Wedding Cake

By Billy Hallowell, Jul. 3, 2015, The Blaze

Just hours after Oregon officials announced that Aaron and Melissa Klein, owners of Sweetcakes by Melissa, would be fined $135,000 for their refusal to bake a cake for a lesbian wedding, Aaron Klein had a message for government officials: He has no plans of backing down.

“He wants to silence anyone who opposes his point of view,” Klein told TheBlaze, speaking specifically about Oregon Labor Commissioner Brad Avakian, who has spearheaded the case against the couple. “Unfortunately, he’s doing this with the wrong Christian, because I fight back.”

Klein also delivered a message to Americans and business leaders about why he believes that his case is monumentally important.

“For years, we’ve heard same-sex marriage will not affect anybody,” he said. “I’m here firsthand to tell everyone in America that it has already impacted people. Christians, get ready to take a stand. Get ready for civil disobedience.”

    1. Michael, I agree and am with you! Where can we support these folks? I went to GoFundMe as well and couldn't find anything. The closest I got was Samaritan's Purse under their "Persecution Against US Christians on the Rise" section. Can we get a campaign going for them? I know LOTS of Christians who would love to help the Kleins monetarily!!

  2. As a small business owner (Bakery of all things) this is particularly disturbing. It takes years for a business to start making money and in our case it was more than 5 years before we saw a dime in profit. We suffered a nuisance lawsuit because a newly hired employee claimed we fired her because she had a mental illness. She worked in our store for two days and was disruptive both days and ran out screaming on the second day. An ambulance chasing scum attorney took the case and despite the fact we would win we couldn't afford to fight it. Attorneys, politicians and scum that are looking for a lottery ticket are destroying the America dream.

I wish there was something that we could do to make a difference for the folks that have been screwed over. Unless you a techno weany that can sit at home and tweet all day, attorney politician or on the government dole then you have a voice but working Americans are left out without a voice and both parties have abandoned hard working average Americans. Eventually we will either have to take up arms like 239 years ago or we will just give up and be like the Greeks. Sad
