Inner-City Pastor Explains Why He’ll Be Voting Republican This Election

Pastor Corey Brooks presides over the New Beginnings Church located in Chicago’s South Side.
Recently, he extended an invitation to all presidential candidates to speak to his congregation and then take an escorted stroll through Parkway Gardens, a low income apartment complex that sits on the most dangerous street in the city.
While this may seem pointless to some who believe historical trends, which indicate that African-American communities almost always vote Democrat, Pastor Brooks believes different. He tells The Daily Beast:
