Last week, Louisiana was brutalized by flooding and rainstorms that left 12 people dead and more than 40,000 homes damaged.  More than 20,000 people had to be rescued from the devastation.

President Obama is vacationing on Martha's Vineyard but took some time on Sunday to officially declare a disaster for parts of the state. He also took some time to attend a fundraiser for Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
