This prompted 400 students and faculty at this university, founded by Jefferson, to demand that Jefferson quotes NEVER be used. After all, he owned slaves and therefore his quotes ought not serve as a "moral compass."
Does this apply to the leftist loving "separation of church and state" quote which Jefferson wrote in a letter?
Sigh.
Let's just give each student a cupcake and a participation trophy--and send them back to class.
