Several Democratic 2020 presidential hopefuls -- including Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris and now Kirsten Gillibrand -- are defending their self-professed commitment to the ideals of the #MeToo movement against a series of accusations they recently mismanaged sexual-misconduct claims against their subordinates.

As the three prominent senators each have sought to draw a sharp contrast with President Trump, who has faced his own misconduct allegations, the claims highlighted vulnerabilities that could become major liabilities not only in a heated Democrat Party primary, but also in the general election.

(CNN) - CNN will host a town hall with Republican Sens. Lindsey Graham and Bill Cassidy, who will be debating health care with Sens. Bernie Sanders and Amy Klobuchar on Monday, September 25 at 9 p.m. ET.

CNN anchor Jake Tapper and chief political correspondent Dana Bash will moderate the 90-minute live event from Washington.
Graham and Cassidy are the namesake sponsors of a last-ditch effort to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act ahead of an end-of-the-month deadline, while Sanders introduced a new "Medicare for all" health care bill with a third of the Senate Democratic caucus by his side.

“The country is doing better than everybody else in the world, but 80% of the country has not had a pay raise since the crash,” Clinton told reporters in East Hartford, Connecticut.

“Therefore there is great fear that we can’t return to broad-based prosperity and that has lit a lot of the fires that have helped Mr. Trump on the right and Sen. Sanders on the left,” Clinton said before his minder jumped in to say he had to go.

“It is totally predictable,” he said.

When Hillary Clinton won five states on March 15, giving her a strong lead for her party’s presidential nomination, accolades poured in from Democrats across the country. One call, however, never came through.

Bernie Sanders campaign manager Jeff Weaver didn’t phone Clinton’s top aide Huma Abedin until 1:30 a.m. to connect the candidates, hours after Clinton had addressed her supporters at the West Palm Beach convention center and retired for the night. The call went straight to voicemail.
