The spokesperson for the Republican National Committee (RNC) eviscerated Tom Steyer’s newly-announced presidential campaign as a “self-promotion tour” after the billionaire entered into the crowded 2020 Democratic primary.
On Tuesday morning, Steyer — whose ads calling for the impeachment of President Donald Trump were reportedly called a “distraction” by Speaker of the House Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) — announced that he would be joining the fray for the Democratic Party’s 2020 presidential nomination after the first debate came and went.
