Nearly 10 percent of Forbes magazine’s list of the 400 richest Americans this year are Southern California residents, although Panda Express founders Andrew and Peggy Cherng missed the list this year.

The Cherngs ranked at No. 246 last year with an estimated worth of $2.7 billion. It was unclear how much their worth changed this year, but the cutoff to make the top 400 was $1.7 billion.
