Serco Inc., the British contractor’s North American subsidiary, has won a potential $1,248,871,357 contract to help the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services manage applications for enrollment into health programs.
The cost-plus-fixed-fee type contract went into effect Monday and contains one base year and four one-year options, according to FedBizOpps.
CMS intends for project work to support a federally-facilitated marketplace and state-based marketplaces for eligibility support tasks under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010.
Work will start Oct. 1 and cover insurance programs programs such as:
- Advance Payment of Premium Tax Credits
- Basic Health Program
- Children’s Health Insurance Program
- Cost-Sharing Reductions
- Medicaid
