Restaurant Commemorates Notorious B.I.G.’S Death With Menu Inspired By His Lyrics
Fans of the rapper who want to commemorate his passing can do so by visiting All’onda, an Italian restaurant in Manhattan’s Union Square, where chefs Chris Jaeckle and Dale Talde have created a six-course menu inspired by some of the renowned wordsmith’s rap lyrics.
For starters, diners will get a spiced tomato soup inspired by the lyrics “V8 juice drinkin’, Slimfast blendin’.”
Up next is a cracked pepper jerk crab and lobster toast, from the lyrics of Biggie’s “I Love the Dough:” “Country house, tennis courts, and horseback ridin’, decidin’ cracked crab or lobster.”
The third course is a butter poached escargot served with salsa verde and a parsley root puree, taken from the lyrics of Big’s massive hit “Hypnotize:” “Excargot, my car go, 160, swiftly, wreck it buy a new one, your crew run run, your crew run run.”
