Laced With Female-Driven Viewership Loyalty, Crown Media Family Reports Ad Sales Increases

Crown Media Family Networks, home to cable’s Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, and Hallmark Drama, reported 2019-2020 upfront ad sales with double-digit price and volume gains. In the face of the U.S. addressable ad sales trends missing the forecasted mark for 2019, this is good news for the network.

According to eMarketer senior forecasting director Monica Peart, “U.S. addressable TV ads is slowing down a bit compared with our previous forecast.” Connected TV ad sales, not included in addressable statistics, have been gaining in popularity. “As more consumers give up traditional paid TV services and embrace over-the-top platforms, budget dollars are increasingly going to the connected TV space, says Peart.
