The National Debt has gone from 5.5 Trillion in 2000 to almost 20 Trillion today. That is 0 to 5.5 Trillion from 1776 to 2000, or 224 years, and 14.5 Trillion from 2000 to 2016, or 16 years. These States and State Governors want the Federal Government to chip in money to cover stuff like CoveredCA or MediCal with absolutely no revenue coming into the Federal Government to pay for the programs. The Federal Government is paying for the programs with more National Debt.
