‘Turn On The Hate’? Steve Bannon’s Cynicism Spreads Online

By USA Today Nov. 16, 2016

Words of President-elect Donald Trump’s chief strategist — “turn on the hate” —  trended on Twitter Monday, offering something of a Rorschach test for the vitriol increasingly spewed in America’s political landscape.

Trump’s strategist, Stephen Bannon, typed the phrase in a 2014 email discussing Republican leadership, as reported in the Daily Beast. At the time he ran Breitbart News, a website popular among white nationalists.

  1. It's 2016 and looks like Bannon was correct back in 2014, because the 2016 "grassroots" of Americans got Angry and perhaps a bit hateful at the elite career establishment politicians who do a lot of talking & promising but effect very little change of the kind they promised. So We The People elected DJ TRUMP as our 45th President; a successful businessman with good instincts and business acumen who promised change and especially to "Drain the DC Swamp". I'm happy Harry Reid is 'draining himself' taking his slime with him; I wish Nancy Pelosi would do the same!
I trust President-Elect Trump's judgment in his Steve Bannon choice. We must ignore the critics and just forge ahead with Trump's "Contract with the American Voter" (aided by Newt Gingrich who made Contract with America during Bill Clinton's presidency).
Thank you. Mr. Elder for your commentary & social media postings. You are a wise & honest man.
