Teodoro Obiang Nguema, 74, has ruled over the country since 1979.
Known as "torturer-in-chief", his rise to power saw him overthrow his uncle - Francisco Macias N'Guema - taking revenge after the ruler had his family murdered.
Since taking power, those who politically opposed him have been subjected to torture and oppression.

If I share this on my timeline, people will call me a racist. Some cultures are simply not as good as others. If it were only the president acting like this he'd have no advisors - they'd oust him. But it's obviously not that horrific to them if he's been in power so long. There are corrupt societies and then there are horrific ones.
