(CNSNews.com) – In written testimony to the House Judiciary Committee on Tuesday, House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) accused Internal Revenue Service Commissioner John Koskinen of misleading Congress “about how he allowed thousands of Lois Lerner’s emails to be destroyed” despite open investigations” by three congressional committees, the inspector general, and the Justice Department.
Koskinen failed to comply with a congressional subpoena and allowed Lerner’s emails to be destroyed, Chaffetz added. Koskinen “misled us about the efforts taken to locate and preserve Lois Lerner’s emails.”
