Lena Dunham Apologizes For Unjustly accusing magazine Of Photoshopping Her

Girls creator and star Lena Dunham apologized for accusing Spanish magazine Tentaciones of photoshopping her after the publication revealed that it had not retouched a photo of her featured on its latest cover — and that Dunham’s team had even signed off on the image. “Of course, we are aware that any media outlet needs to be responsible for what it publishes, but this photo was previously approved by the agency, the photographer and your publicist … we used the original that they sent us without applying any kind of retouching,” the magazine stated in an open letter on its website, adding that it had only cropped the original image. Dunham took the response in stride, thanking Tentaciones for “being so good natured about my request for accuracy” in a new Instagram post, where she explained her initial reaction: “It’s a weird feeling to see a photo and not know if it’s your own body anymore,” she wrote. “I have a long and complicated history with retouching.
