Report: Actor Daniel Craig, A.K.A. James Bond, Donated To Bernie Sanders’ Super PAC. Where Did His Money Go?

Daniel Craig, the actor who played the iconic James Bond, donated almost $50,000 to a pro-Bernie Sanders super PAC called “Americans Socially United.”

But as any good spy knows, things aren’t always what they seem.

The Center for Public Integrity (CPI), in an investigative piece Thursday, raised questions about whether the super PAC is above board.

The man behind the super PAC, Cary Lee Peterson, told CPI that his super PAC is an honest effort to elect Sanders. “I just believe in the cause,” he said.

But it’s impossible to verify the legitimacy because he hasn’t filed any of the mandatory finance reports with the Federal Election Commission. He also has eight other political committees with official sounding names like “Congressional Committee on Eurasian Affairs” registered with the FEC, but hasn’t filed those reports either, according to CPI’s findings.
